Sadly I predicted we would be 14 points below 6th place by the end of January if not sooner.
The gap has widened from 7 points to 8 points since I said that (2 games ago).
And that's despite the win over Burton.
On average we slip half a point further from the play-offs with every game we play.
That has not changed all season.
The top 6 teams will just keep on winning & drawing, and playing decent football.
Even 7th to 10th place will be doing their best to keep pace of course.
@Charles No Likes Hawtrey is right - another season is over before Christmas.
Yet I assume Jones will stay as long as we do not actually drop into the bottom 4.
And if Charlton finish 15th this season some muppet somewhere will claim we have made progress.
Then we'll be in for three more seasons of the same rubbish.
