If we didn't fight then they'd invade our land and take us over.
The Muslim's religion believe it's ok to terrorize and kill people if they don't believe in allah, and if they bomb a building and die in the process they get rewarded with enough **** to last them eternity.

I've applied to the army but with me having an injury in the last 3 months I need to prove that I have fully recovered by writing down all the exercise I do over the next 3 months. I have to do atleast 1 day of hill walking a week for 1.5/2hrs (6-8mile) and go running atleast twice a week (30mins) as well as pull ups, push ups, sit ups and tricep dips.
Before you go you need to be able to run 1.5mile in under 12mins.
The running isn't the hard part for me it's the upper body strength which I need to get sorted. You live in Newton Aycliffe? I'm joining the TA REME unit down there. The running isn't the hard part for me it's the upper body strength which I need to get sorted.

Upper body is hard for me too...I managed 7 full heaves (pull ups) the other day which wasn't too bad, but then again I don't carry much weight.
The TA REME unit I think is opposite the oak leaf sports complex. When are you joining there mate?
You must log in or register to see images
Is this you Dream Boat?

Sorry guys but I have to go massively against the flow on this one. Full respect to Tash if he did go and join the army, I think it's a great thing to do for our country and full credit if he wants to get out of the 9-5 routine and try something decent.
To those who are against joining the army, and have argued the case for Islam etc. I agree with you that the doctrine of Islam is not to kill all others. However if anyone reads the holy book you will see that killing in the name of Allah IS promoted whether you like it or not. Without the army, we would see more and more of these bombings taking place, more and more civilians killed. Sometimes I feel that people try to defend the indefensible. The vast majority of suicide bombings are carried out by self-proclaimed Islamists, it's just a fact.
An almost identical scenario is Crimewatch. People say that black people are in no way "worse-behaved" than white people. But have you noticed how many of the wanted faces on Crimewatch are black? I'm not even remotely racist let me assure you, but it strikes me as odd that in a predominantly white country, there are more wanted black people than white people. I would never judge someone on skin colour, but, as a whole, the black community is one that leans much more towards violent criminality than the white community. And yet, some try to claim that this is untrue. It is a modern attitude of the contemporary "do gooders" to try and defend the indefensible and plain ignore the facts in front of their noses.
I can guess that post will cause some controversy, however I believe I have been fully reasonable.
get your head out of the Daily Mail and actually research the history of the western world and its relationships and meddlings in the middle east and you will see where the basis for the current conflicts lie, Hint - its not in the Qu'ranIgnorance alertget your head out of the Daily Mail and actually research the history of the western world and its relationships and meddlings in the middle east and you will see where the basis for the current conflicts lie, Hint - its not in the Qu'ran
I'm just wondering if there's anyone on here that's served in the army?
I just have a few questions.
How fit do you need to be before joining?
At the moment i can run 2 miles before needing to stop for a rest, and my overall workout consists of me running around 3 miles in about 35 minutes.
How long are you in training before you actually leave for Afghanistan/Iraq or where ever your country needs you?
What are the other recruits like?
Are they all supportive and friendly or are they tough on you?
Just wondering because the last few years I've been considering joining up.
P.S. Please don't move this to the gen chat board, i don't want ******s like Edge posting their racist and offensive comments on it.![]()

Don't join the army Tash. I have respect for anyone who joins (as I do for any human being) but ultimately you're manipulated into taking another's life. I don't want to cause offence to anyone, or argue, but I don't believe anyone should join the army. You get bummed too.
You do realise you and Daily Mail readers are just as stupidly dogmatic as each other? It's ridiculous. It's hard not to lie at the hypocrisy from both sids. As for Cheik the room's comments they are fair enough and not racist in anyway it's his opinion and he is allowed to hold it. Imo all religions are as bad as each other. They all promote some sort of evil and can be interpreted in twisted ways to suit peoples agendas. To say that the Qu'ran and the way it is interpreted is not in any way responsible for conflicts in the middle east is frankly idiotic.
