I aren't sure he'll go back to Italy only because of financial reasons. He'll want probably £60k pw, the Italian league doesn't have a lot of money (minus the big boys and he's not good enough for them). Wouldn't surprise me if he stayed in the Championship.

I'd happily give him £60k a week even if it meant losing Dawson and McGregor & Meyler's wages to fund it.

Hernandez quite obviously wants to go back to Italy and he wouldn’t command anywhere near £60k a week, he’ll be on about £25k with us at the moment.

I am pretty sure Bowen would have no issue playing for an Allardyce team.... I think this has got a bit stupid.

If any of my family had a chance of playing professional football I wouldn't give a **** what manager they played under! They would make enough money never to work again if they got into the Premier League!
Allardyce will likely only be there for the 18 months of his contract anyway ( if not before)

Players out of contract at the end of this season - Aina (Loan), Clark, Dawson, Diomande, Hector (Loan), Hernandez, Larsson, Lenihan (1 year option), McGregor, Meyler, Odubajo, Tomori (Loan).

The accountants will have to bring in plenty of quantity next season (job advert: do you want to play league 1 football? We are offering up to £200pw for players willing to sign a 1-year contract*. No experience necessary).

*The position is a 1-year contract with no chance of extension (the company will not exist beyond that point).

Why do you say he obviously wants to go back to Italy? Did he ever win anything in Italy? He has had his best days at City and his best paydays. Ehab needs to press him to sign another 2 years IMO.

He will command more than you think (Not £60k) in the UK as they won't have a transfer fee to pay. To get a striker of that quality used to the English leagues you are looking at £15m, as he will be free he will be able to demand a lot more in wages.

That's why when he went for talks with Villa he asked for £80k a week. They'll be a tonne of championship clubs offering him £40k at the very least especially without the huge transfer fee

I doubt there's any that have £40k a week to spare under FFP.
