Apologies if there is already a thread, close this if there is. Anyway the thread for the doom and gloom and expectation, usually smashed into oblivion by the incompetent owners who are hell bent on stuffing wads of cash in there back pockets. Anyway what do we need- centre half, two full backs (Rico Henry or Amri Bell get Rosenior back), Ryan Woods or Josh Vela, George Hirst (one for the future, not happening!), another winger (Nathan Dyer please) and as always a striker, a target man pref. What we will end up with is- a goalkeeper for a stupid amount of money we don’t need, another loan player to play on defence barely out of nappies, a injury prone midfielder out of a U23 squad and Stephen Torpey! Wonderful!
Can't see another forward coming in. We already have 3 and Keane and Abel are back early in the new year. Doubt we'll bring in another full back either tbh. Maybe a midfielder, depending how Mason is coming along and a winger
Why? He'll be absolutely fine at this level. For us to bring in more forwards, we'll have to lose some, but I can't see many takers for Dio
Jesus I didn't know he was that old! Time flies. There's a player in there though, he was really highly rated as a youngster.
I wonder if Nigel will turn to the lower leagues, we don't tend to do much business at that end of the market these days.
That's not a bad option. Look at Brentford, they picked up Woods for £1m, Watkins for under £2m and Bentley for just over £1m. All gems
We certainly don't need another midfielder. We have more strength in depth in midfield than in any other area on the pitch.
I would like us to get an established left back from a lower league club, a young centre half (for development as we did with mcguire). Add to that a forward and winger on loan and we could be ok.
My shopping list would be: LB, RB, CH and a big Striker up front. We lack a physical presence up top.
