I'm fairly confident there isn't another owner who has Roland's philosophy of not caring about winning as long as the fans can dance after the match. So the protests are a one-off. If you take one single act which signalled Roland's intentions it was the sale of our best player, Yann, and replacing him with Polish Pete who was more expensive. There can't possibly be such a mad owner out there who would behave like this. Can there?

Sadly thousand of fans from other Clubs would disagree with you.

That Fit & Proper Person Test in full -

EFL: “Have you got loads of money?”

Jonny Foreigner: “Yes”

EFL: “Feel free to do what you like then”

Yes, but if I sell off all the player assets, stick with my network plan, employ friends with no previous success in football, and fluke a promotion I'll make loads more money.

On reflection you're right, the Oystons,(crooks), Becchetti (vindictive), the venky's(ignorant), and Sisu for starters. Surely lightning couldn't strike twice though? You have to be a fan at one of these clubs to appreciate what damage is done by having an owner who doesn't have the club's interests at heart. The root problem is that running a football club is a loss-making business unless you have an Alan Curbishley or someone of that ilk. The nearest we've had was SCP, playing in front of 17000 in the Championship, and still a hairsbreadth from admin, enabling Roland to buy the club. Clubs really are vulnerable.

Reactions: CAFC'sBestInterests
One of the Bristol Rovers forums is claiming that Charlton have offered £750,000 for Billy Bodin.

My source inside the Club reliably informs me it was actually £750.
CAFC won't be paying over the odds in January simply because of its enormous size, wealth and reputation for managerial excellence.

Sorry Lardi but your reliable source may be lying to you.... was it ex CEO Katrien Meire?

There is no way we will be paying ANY money for signings while the Douche is in charge! and we will only be bringing in loans who would require a very small contribution towards wages.

£750 in Euros. Hard cash.
Plus a half eaten salami sandwich circa 2016, an unopened packet of blu-tack, seventeen boiled sweets, eighty five dry roasted peanuts, a referee's whistle and a partially sucked Fisherman's Friend.
In short, everything recovered from beneath the desk of a recently departed senior executive.
The blu tack was payable upon Bodin reaching an unspecified number of appearances.

According to The72 website, Charlton are 'interested' in signing Brett Pitman from Portsmouth.

Portsmouth Captain Pitman has more than two years still on his contract, and is currently valued at £900,000.
He has made 20 appearances for Portsmouth this season, and has scored 13 league goals.

Yes, I can see why Pompey won't be too bothered if we turn his head.

Who's that in the [HASHTAG]#cafc[/HASHTAG] directors' box yesterday? Former Rangers, Scotland, Birmingham City and Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish (back row with glasses) was a lunch guest of director Richard Murray with two unnamed associates at the Oldham match. Murray sat separately in the box.
