And should be priced accordingly... Its got to be north of £25 million for me... I was just looking back and that Mawson left Swansea for £17 million 7 years ago!!!... and Souttar was £17 million from Stoke to Leicester and he's right footed..

Yeah, that seems about right. Adam Webster went to Brighton from Bristol City in 2019 for £20 million. Greaves is contracted until 2026. I would love for him to give us next year at least for another promotion push but if the club do sell him, I think we’re in a strong position to demand at least £20 million, perhaps even more.

Which might impact how likely he is to go. It would have to be an amount a lot bigger than those lads went for, something mid to low range PL clubs might not pay. Wolves maybe with their billionaire Chinese owners. I know Spurs have scouted him a few times this season, but whether they'd shell out having overpaid for Dragusin remains to be seen and it's a gamble for a club with ambitions of Champions League football.

We are in a position to not sell either Philogene or Greaves for less than £20 million given their contracts. However, the FFP situation might force us to sell one of them to balance the books and fund a rebuild in the summer. Still think the priority in summer is a couple strikers at least, a good defensive mid, a new right-back to replace Christie and challenge Coyle for the starting spot and a new left-back that isn’t Giles.

At this point, I’d rather sell Philogene to accomplish this rather than Greaves. Willock will definitely be a target and if we can get him in after his contract at QPR expires, it makes the prospect of selling Philogene easier. If we sold Greaves instead, an immediate replacement might take time. I’d like Cashin, but he recently extended his contract at Derby and they’ll probably get promoted via autos so they’re in a good position to keep him or at least demand quite a lot.

I think it's right that Greaves goes this summer. Not sure how much further he can develop while staying at this level. He could have gone a year or two earlier, but he's stayed for those extra years, furthered his development and now is the time I think. It'll be a shame, but as others have said, he'll surely get a good fee. My only concern on the fee front is that the FFP situation in the PL might mean that less clubs are spending big (very few spent money in January in the wake of all the points deductions). That issue notwithstanding he should definitely be going for £20m+.

Jaden, I think would be going a bit early in his development. He's a brilliant talent but still has obvious areas for improvement, and I think it's likely he'd make those improvements with another year here. I also think he'll command a bigger fee with another year under his belt. Right now he's an obvious talent, but there are other players at this level who are ahead of him, unlike with Greaves.

philo will benefit far more with another season of full game time than sporadic games off the bench in the prem

The lad clearly has a plan in his head. You can tell by how he left Villa and then his recent interview he did with the athletic.

He wants to go and challenge himself and I don’t blame him. We don’t want to look like a club that stands in the way of this sort of thing either.

He’s a cracking player; however with the money we’ll have coming in I think we’ll be in a place where we can replace him with someone who’s closer to the finished article at this level anyway. I fully believe Will Jarvis will step upto the plate when he returns too.

I could see Philogene staying another year if the clubs that come in for him are much like Villa, doesn't sound like he wants to sacrifice game time with a move and I'm not sure he would feel overly confident of breaking into mid-upper teams. I guess the strong possibility is the teams that go up from the championship.
