Seems FIFA thinks Gordon has more potential. I mean the numbers are utterly meaningless because it's a computer game.

Not that I'd ever use either to judge a player's actual, real life quality or ability levels given that everything runs on a mix of algorithms and RNG, but I'd rate Football Manager's researchers higher than FIFA's given the depth of their databases. And their verdict is that Kaide Gordon won't be on non-contract terms at Cliftonville in six years time.

There's no masking it, it would be a massive step down from the level of player we've been speaking about.

I'd much rather we go back for Esse at Millwall.

Millwall yesterday signed a winger from low league Adam Major, who apparently is well regarded, just wonder if they are looking to cash in on Esse and this is a replacement.

You'd hope so.

I mean Esse appears to be a talent. He's made nearly 30 championship appearances, capped by England at u19 level and he's not 19 till May.

If we want a young keeper who is good with his feet as well as having tremendous shot stopping ability, who would come quite cheap but with a potential to be worth 3x or 4x what we pay for him (at least) then he'd be a very good option.
