For non parachute clubs?

There are some mental wages getting paid in this division that will make the average massive, but without parachute payments I doubt many are turning over more than £20m. In which case 10k + whatever bonuses and benefits are paid, is quite a decent wage for one person. I doubt we’d find anyone to take over his contract at that price anyway.

With parachute money included I think the average is over 30k.

Average wages to turnover in the Championship is above 100%. Most recent season I can find: https://keepup.com.au/news/champion...xceeds-revenue-for-fifth-year-running-report/

Just down to the work permit apparently.

Reckon Allayhar will still go this window. Wouldn't be surprised if we're just hanging on untilnwe get one or two in or back from Injury.

I do too. I think Lokilo might as well depending on what we bring in.

I have a feeling if we get the work permit in time for Friday that Pandur will be straight in. Conceding sloppy goals down to keeper errors is costing us and I'm not sure we can wait much longer.

Throwing a young keeper from the continent who doesn't know his team mates particularly well straight into a huge Friday night game doesn't strike me as the way to stop conceding soft goals.

Would be a big risk. Liams already said he'll need an adjustment period.

Question is whether that's weeks or months - but we're not spending that coin for him to come in and just be a backup in the medium-long term.

He's not that young and has played plenty of football.

Okay, he might not be on the same page as playing out from the back, but by all accounts he's a very decent shot stopper and that's what we need right now

He's 23. In goalkeeping terms that's very young. He won't be thrown in surely. I could see him starting against Millwall though, as there's two weeks break to get up to speed with the team and it's a slightly lower pressure game.

He's 23. For a keeper that's still very young indeed.

The senior games he's played go in his favour obviously. But he's capable of conceding a fair few himself. Just hope the distribution is up to par.

I think he'll give him a few weeks to settle in and adjust, but I don't think it'll be to long until he's starting...around Swansea/Rotherham games I reckon

He's played plenty of football though. I just don't see how we can keep running with either of the 2 keepers who seem to be making big errors weekly and then acting shocked that we're dropping points. I don't think it's ideal in the slightest, but it seems like the definition of insanity to keep playing Allsop/Ingram and expecting different results.

It isn't just the keepers that are switching off. But then that's the championship.

If you can actually defend as well as score consistently, then you get promoted.

Trouble is, very few can.

As I said, I think it'll be only 2 games maybe until we see him, I just think this Friday is way too soon.
