Puzzling going back in for an injured Rak-Sakyi surely…
Why not? we signed a clearly unfit Vinagre

Our opponents usually doIf only we got goals for almost hitting the target...
.Personally, wont miss Twine - never set the world alight even once - still no mention of incoming left back or centre half whi can command the area- our back four are woefully weak
We're being polite if we said Twine was anything other than a bust for us.
Not quite as underwhelming as that palace kid from last season that I can't remember the name of.
Has Ivor Pandur signed a contract or had a medical yet.

Im sure Ebiowei came in crocked too
As Mike White said, think the idea of Benson coming here seems far fetched as it stands. We’ve had a deal agreed with the club for well over a week now and he’s obviously not mega keen to come here.

It may have relied on moving one out to bring one in.As Mike White said, think the idea of Benson coming here seems far fetched as it stands. We’ve had a deal agreed with the club for well over a week now and he’s obviously not mega keen to come here.
The owners/ management priority in the last window was clearly increasing the quality of the first XI, which I don’t think anyone can say they haven’t. From where we were to get into a play off position prior to the winter transfer window opening is massive progress, and justifies that prioritising. Not as simple as that.
What 'key positions'? Keeper? CM? CF? They are all 'key positions' when you don't have cover in place.
It's because our recruitment has been and continues to be highly questionnable. With the numbers that have come in over recent windows we should have 2 decent options for each position (as was 'promised'), and then 2 or 3 useful utility players (like Slater). We haven't. The balance remains wrong, ironically mostly in the positions that were identified as being key areas to fix (LB, width, wingers).

With hindsight, we maybe got a couple of duds, but Vinaigre and Twine have both shown glimpses of why we wanted to take a risk. Sometimes, they don’t come off.
Before injuries, the only position we didn’t have at least 2 options for was LB (which was a mistake when the one player was Vinaigre). However, I agree the squad is weak, despite in terms of numbers, we have probably fared better than most with injuries, and I suspect there are not many teams who have had fewer missing through suspensions (have we had any?).
I fully expect that they will go some way to addressing that this window. However, particularly with ffp, there a limit to what can be achieved in a short space of time, which if we are unlucky with injuries again (ie players in positions where we are weak) may well bite us on the arse again.
As others have said, we are trying to achieve things far too quickly. However, they see an opportunity so have decided to take it. So let’s enjoy the ride, rather than being critical.
It’s becoming Stockholm syndrome, we have one fit fullback who isn’t really up to the standard of where we want to be. Maybe not this January but this team needs new starting fullbacks either side. I aren’t completely convinced our centre halves are as good as we thought either, they just seem to get walked through. That could be helped with two first rate full backs though and showing our best CB in at LB, Matty Jacob and the fruit man are not long term solutions to our problems.
Our high performance centre is streets ahead, Scott will miss it's charm I'm sure

You mean the unforgettable Malcolm (in the middle - well he never seemed to be on the wing) Ebiowei
I don’t fully disagree with this, but I don’t think multiple full backs should be the priority this window.
We’ve clearly got multiple problems at the other end of the pitch. Our downturn in form started when we lost Jaden and I think in large that is because we have lost the natural balance to the team.
One full back in should be a priority, but as we have a number of others who have played there with some success recently, I think that’ll do until the summer.
it’ll def need looking at then again though.
