You say that, but how many games did we go last season without a striker, despite the fact that everybody seemed to acknowledge we were a striker light in January 2022?

Tufan will get shoved up top. Carvalho can probably play there, we have Connolly and Sharp, Allahyar can sort of play through the middle, I don't think Rosie will panic, especially given that Delap seems to have played wide fairly often.
A good point. Delap played maybe a third or more or his games from right wing so we aren't as light up top as it feels.

A big game feel to this this, making me uneasy. Hopefully its one of them mad games you win 5-1 or something.

Oops wrong thread, I'll fix it. Connelly injured, we are gonna need a new ST

He's an athlete, but we have better footballers in the 23's.

First decent offer, take it.

He just looks so shot of confidence. He daren't try and take a defender on, at times tonight he got tackled because he thought about taking them on, changed his mind and left the ball half out of his body, ripe to be nicked. Really weird display from him, and surprising that he's still our go-to sub in this condition.

We're down to the bare bones so there isn't anyone else

Sort of. I think Vaughan can feel disappointed not to have played more minutes this season. Lokilo seems to be very much the second winger at the club after Philogene and from what I've seen, he doesn't deserve to be.

But he's not a winger either

Mallik Wilks would’ve been a better option off the bench today than Lokilo. A few of us said ‘meh’ when we were linked to Lokilo because he’s been underwhelming or just about average everywhere he’s been and he’s 25.

He somehow had all those goals and assists at Whateverspor last season though. Is that just the Super Lig effect? I think there must be some ability in there, but he's never looked like beating a man since signing for us and tonight he looked like a player with no belief in himself whatsoever.

There's a decent argument to bringing back Longman, not that he's the long term solution

That league gives you space in intermediate areas to show technical abity...

The championship be like :

"Don't panic Mr Mainwairing, they don't like it up them, do they?"

And that's the difference.
