The highlight for me is seeing TWS fans heads exploding because he’s chosen us and not them. They simply cannot comprehend how arrogant and pigheaded they sound!

He was on loan at Fortuna Sittard last season and that’s when I first heard about him. He joined them permanently in the summer. I’m actually surprised we’ve gone for him in January as he’s only 6 months into a 4-year deal.

Fortuna Sittard are quite a direct team and not really possession-based like us so it’s hard to say how well Pandur is with his feet playing out from the back. He’s a very good shot-stopper though and quite positive/aggressive coming off his line for crosses. He’s a modern sweeper keeper sort of player. He also played for Hellas Verona and Serie A is quite a technical league so keepers in Italian football are expected to be good with their feet. I was hoping we signed Mile Svilar on loan from Roma in the summer given our links to Roma for this reason.

A sweeper keeper? Isn’t that what Onana at Utd was classed as? I’ve seen him play, he’s not a shot stopper & his feet aren’t the best either.
Can always hope though!

This relationship with Liverpool is really bearing some fruit and I think it goes back a while now... Not only Robbo going there but the loan of Lazar Markovic must be 7 years ago now... long long may it continue...

Perception. Bringing in players of this quality when there's competition will warrant us paying loan fees and/or wages. Granted its not on the scale of parachute teams but it does appear our buying power has increased somewhat

I think it is a lot to do with us being in the Allam era I don’t think some are intentionally being condescending even some of our own fans say similar things but since Acun has come in he raised the bar which has naturally raised a few eyebrows to me even when sky news talks about what is happening at the club with the quality the club is bringing in and trying for they look bewildered have this surprised look on their faces, makes for a good giggle though.

The funny thing is there's a good chance that the keeper will be a better signing. I've not seen a negative thing about him from the Fortuna fans.

Have Liverpool have finally redeemed themselves from stealing Robertson and giving us Kevin Stewart? Apparently in the small print were these future loans of Morton and Carvalho.

When I read the transfer thread, I read a lot of names & people getting excited about it happening, by the weekend, then it’s by Tuesday, might be Thursday, but definitely Friday, if not, then it’ll be something that shows up at the game on Saturday.
Am I the only person who doesn’t know these players, doesn’t believe the time frame & just skips to the last page to see the latest posts, clicks on the quote to see what they were on about, then tries clicking that quote, but it doesn’t work, so back to last page, then goes to page 1 to see if we’ve signed anyone?
