Whatever happens next for us in this transfer window this deal will take some beating. Still some missing pieces to the jigsaw of course but if this is a sign of things to come we are definitely in for a potentially exiting ride this second half to the season.

UTT.

What’s a player with that surname Carvalho doing signing for little Hull !!
He sounds way too glam for us - what’s wrong with Ken Wagstaff, Alf Wood , Frank Banks , Gordon Nisbett ( not that tw** of a copper - spelt different I think ) - no class this club , way too insular LOL

Got to admit I don't really know much about him, but I've spoken to people who do and I'm hearing positive things.

With all the things happening with us today, I've got to admit I'm hearing from people I've not spoken to in ages, all asking the same..... "What the ****s happening at hull"

I think we'll see 3 in the building by Friday

Really good feeling to get such good business done so early. Makes a massive difference for us. Some good work has gone into this window, you can tell. Well done everyone involved.

Do you know much about Pandur? From the little I’ve read and their fans saying they should be getting 3-4m for him suggests he’s fairly highly rated

He was on loan at Fortuna Sittard last season and that’s when I first heard about him. He joined them permanently in the summer. I’m actually surprised we’ve gone for him in January as he’s only 6 months into a 4-year deal.

Fortuna Sittard are quite a direct team and not really possession-based like us so it’s hard to say how well Pandur is with his feet playing out from the back. He’s a very good shot-stopper though and quite positive/aggressive coming off his line for crosses. He’s a modern sweeper keeper sort of player. He also played for Hellas Verona and Serie A is quite a technical league so keepers in Italian football are expected to be good with their feet. I was hoping we signed Mile Svilar on loan from Roma in the summer given our links to Roma for this reason.

The highlight for me is seeing TWS fans heads exploding because he’s chosen us and not them. They simply cannot comprehend how arrogant and pigheaded they sound!
“But… but… but… Hull’s ****!!”

Someone should remind them that in the last 20 years we've spent more time in the PL than they have.

"We are in a battle with some very big clubs, but we are Hull City," Ilicali said. "I say don't forget that Jaden Philogene picked us over 10 other clubs. We are very excited too. He is a very unique player and we really want to see him at Hull City, but as with every important transfer, we have some big rivals to sign him, from big Premier League clubs and many Championship clubs.

"At the end of the day, I want all our fans to know that we are Hull City, and when we want to transfer a player, we will always do our best and we will always show that we are a big club. We are a big family and we are a big club. So in this case, of course, it is not easy, but like with Jaden Philogene, it just happened very similarly that more than 10 teams were trying to take him to their clubs. They didn't give us too much chance at that time, but Jaden's choice was Black and Amber.
"We are doing everything for Fabio the same and I think we are trying to give the good news to our fans and we will show everybody what an ambitious club we are.
How good is it to hear your owner speak like that!!!
