We've lacked width and pace lately yet Allayhar looked fit, strong, and more than ready.
We've lacked a LB yet it looks like we actually have a 22 y.o. (not some young kid) who is a LB but hasn't had a look in till now. In fact we also have a 21 y.o., again not some young kid who needs nurturing in an academy, who was picked 16 times to play in the SPL from Feb to April last season but also doesn't get a look in.
Odd?

Yep I thought Allayhar played pretty well when he came on.

I said similar last week, how can we be halfway through the season and have players at 21.22 that aren’t ready….it makes no sense

If he is then it shows how desperately we need to sign wingers as Vaughan isn't a top 6 championship winger yet
We do, and he isn't (yet)....but it doesn't change the point which thinking about it is probably correct. Another one who surely should have been getting more of a look in as we've been short of width, pace, trickery. He got plenty of game time last season and showed bags of promise, so with that experience plus a years growth you'd think he'd have progressed and we'd have seen more of him. Another odd one?

Difficult to get game time in that position ahead of the likes of Doc.

He's had limited chances but I've not been impressed with him this season. I think he had an injury when he could have played as well but a loan is best for him right now

Rosenior mention anything about transfers in his after match pieces? Could do with Max Bird I think.

We have a big issue at centre mid for the next 3 games, and this was always the risk with AFCON. Morton getting banned now is incredibly poor timing. Trouble with Bird (and anyone else) is, the selling clubs will know we're that little bit more desperate and will want to fleece us.

Some selective amnesia going on here.

Allayhar looked great when he came on last night, but he needs to stay fit to be any use. He missed two-thirds of last season due to injury and he’s been out injured for much of this season as well.

Jacob has only recently been available, he’s had an MCL injury that’s recurred three times, hopefully he’s now sorted and we’ll see more of him.

Vaughan has bags of skill, but is knocked off the ball by a light breeze, he really needs a loan to get some regular game time.

I also thought Allahyar looked very much like Allahyar, but against the backdrop of last nights performance made him look a lot better.

Vaughan needs to find the same diet/trainer as Bowen did. He was pushed off the ball quite easily and now he's a ball of muscle who never gets injured because he worked massively on his physique.

Surely the coaching team have been doing (a version of) that with him during summer and this season to date? If not they want shooting.

Vaughan is an interesting one. I honestly thought he was going to be a key player for us this season. As people have said, he looks very weak in a challenge but then so do Twine and Lokilo. Neither have done enough to warrant a starting place on the wing so maybe it’s time to give the lad a chance. I hope he starts against Birmingham so we can see what he’s like when given a full game. It’s a big chance to show Rosenior what he’s been missing.

young lad but again, he doesn’t have any out ball. Bit too green and needs a loan, tidy enough but zero contribution whenever he does play.

Genuine question for those who know about the academy... ALFIE TAYLOR. Distinctly remember that some Premiership teams were looking very closely or trying to prize him out... How has he progressed. Why is he not getting a look in...?
