He was never dropped so not sure the manager agreed. Did they play passing from the back?Good post. Unfortunately those comments from the Cardiff fans would suggest it’s not just temporary.

That is very generous for the cause. Good effort.I’d pay it for Twine personally. It’s around what we would’ve paid for him had we signed him last summer and I’m amazed he’s not in Burnley’s plans if they go down
It’s just a big outlay on someone who’s still finding his form imo. Does make sense for the reasons you’ve stated but I doubt we’ll even need to. Reassess at the end of the season as I think Burnley will stay up now at the expense of Forest so will ask for similar if he carries in as he is.It is if you're not looking relative to what we have spent already, we have two players we paid more than that for that have barely played this season. 14 clubs, ourselves included, have spent that on at least one player this season. I'm not sure about FFP figures now as I don't know if Murat Ulker's cash injection via the sponsorship impacts that. But, I'd have thought getting Tetteh's, Woods' and Oscar's wages off the bill will have helped.
The 4 you named have all been in and out with injuries. Connolly and Tufan have had bigger impacts on our seasons though. He’s absolutely droppable but he’s kept his head down and kept grafting so has/ and will continue to be a regular. There seems to be a strong narrative (yep, my favourite word, sorry) that Twine is only just finding form, but I think that's wrong. I think he's been pretty good all season, and just for one reason or another hadn't scored until recent weeks. He was still playing well before then. When you look at the context of our attacking players, there's a lot of competition and most of them are in and out of the side and struggle to hold down a place long-term, such as Traore, Connolly, Lokilo and Tufan. There are a few who play every week though when fit: Delap, Philogene and Twine. There is a reason he's in that group who never get dropped.
100% worth it. Another thing paying it now though.I think Twine is worth £2.5 million easily
£2.5m is big money in the championship, Acun spending seems to have changed people’s view on this. We will be pushing that FFP limit soon, so I don’t think shelling out £2.5m on a player who is only just hitting form would be silly. It’s also come from Alan Nixon ffs.
Nixon is one of the most reliable journos out there isn't he?
He’s really good for league 1 and 2. Not so much the prem and champNixon is one of the most reliable journos out there isn't he?
AbsolutelyI think Twine is worth £2.5 million easily
Especially as Seri and Traore are off to the African cup of nationsWe’d leave a hole if he goes, especially to a competitor
We need a fair few already IMO to be shelling out on someone who likely will still be here anyway.
Would he not just choose us anyway? Starting every week, more realistic chance of promotion (as it stands) etc.
If all things are equal then most probably yes, but Bristol may offer Burnley more then us so we don't get a bid accepted, Bristol may offer the same amount but more favourable terms so again we don't get accepted, if we both get an offer accepted then Bristol may offer him a longer and or better contract etc. Could be a number of reasons why he'd end up there and not here.
I'm not sure anything will happen till summer personally, but who knows
Twine could force it, always that. Guess money could talk though, to your point.
Plus if he comes here, at least the locals don't sound like deranged farmers!
