'Several' player of the season awards between 2002 and 2003 before he went to Bristol you mean?

He wasnt part of the side that eventually got us out of league 2, let alone championship ready purely by virtue of his SPL team of the year award.

Not always perfect options but they were over going to be without signing a dozen or more players.

And we were a lot closer at the end of summer than we were at the end of last season.

We have 2 senior wingers and have played attacking midfielders there far too much.

Agree, don’t think the hierarchy will though, they might say they’re happy with top half but they’ll want more now. Billy Sharp wasn’t brought in for a team happy to get top half this season otherwise what’s the point

So we're going after a left back, winger and 'keeper minimum according to Baz and other indications, which is where we all agree the pressing squad weaknesses are.

Why don't you think we' ll address them?

....and yes, the hierarchy will have final say on transfers identified by Rosenior, Darno, Beri. Tan will be doing the deals and Acun signing off on a pre agreed strategy just as they did last summer.

Are we not after a striker anymore then seen as Davis fell through in the summer or is that just Sharp? I’m a big fan of Sharps but a little underwhelming if so.

Think priorities might have shifted since then with Christie coming back from Injury running in treacle and Vinagre being sent back.

I expect we'll see a credible option come into the forward line still though.
