He's better than the dodgy Dutch league, with a due respect to a famous old name like Ajax. Might as well go to Scotland

Obviously I hope we go up this season, but if we dont I think it'll be very difficult to keep hold of Philogene and Greaves. It may enable us to bring in the likes of Delap and a few others to make a real push for promotion next season.

We don’t want diving Delap.

So what does it come out at minutes per contribution? That's a fairer way to look at it surely
Here you go:
Carvalho vs Omur per 90 minutes played
Goals + Assists - 0.39/0.25
Progressive carries (running forward with the ball more than 10 metres) - 2.55/1.50
Progressive passes (more than 10m forward) - 4.90/3.25
Pass completion - 79%/89%
Live passes (i.e. excl dead balls) - 42.1/42.0
Live passes leading to shot on goal - 3.53/1.25
Tackles - 1.76/4.25
Tackles won - 0.78/3.0
So Carvalho ahead on creative/offensive side, Omur on defensive and hard working. Couple of further points though, Carvalho isn't bad on tackling, it's just that Omur is very very good. Omur's tackles per 90 is a mile ahead of everyone else, Carvalho's number is better than Docherty, Morton, Seri and Slater. Carvalho's number for winning tackles is better than Slater and not far short of Seri and Morton. Finally, Omur's performances and these stats make me wonder if he might not be a better contender to be Morton's replacement next season rather than Carvalho's?

Those are really interesting stats, but I'm not sure about using it to conclude that Ömür should play further back. I suspect that in our style of play it's normal for attacking players to make more tackles because of how we press.

Exactly this.

If those stats tell us anything, it’s that both of them should unquestionably be in the team.

How does Scott Twine compare to that?

What those stats tell me is that I’m glad I have other interests . I hope Ai can do oil paintings, read crap crime novels for me , keep the grandkids happy for three mornings a week before school and most importantly make my golf swing perfect . Otherwise it’s a complete waste of time - and I still think Omur does more in game than Fabio at the moment . What. Were their mileage stats on the pitch ?

Trying to pick something out of that word salad ... not sure what AI has to do with it, gathering those stats took 5 minutes on the internet. Omur is a very good player, I wasn't trying to prove otherwise, just trying to show that Carvalho has been better than he's been geting credit for.

Carvalho is a goalscorer. For us and his previous clubs.

Omur is not a goalscorer of any note, he is a creator. Scored 25 for Trabzonspor in eight years.

Not sure where you get word salad maybe you just text most of the time . Thought I was being pretty descriptive in the explanation of my time . Don’t assume I was having a go , which is prevalent on here it was meant to be a mildly humorous bit of info . To be honest I really can’t be bothered to analyse stats when what I see in front of me on the pitch tells me almost all I need to know . Probably why I never went to uni LOL
There’s a word kedgeree to pick through !

A stat. West Ham only had 39% possession and 1 more shot than their opponents tonight.
