Not sure Sharp fits the style Tbh.

Might help the younger ones with experience but I can't see it happening personally.

Stands to reason that if we were at an advanced stage with Davis, then it would likely be someone with similar attributes.

I'm wondering if there's something in the Josh King link myself.

I wanted Sharp at City for years and years.

He might be past his peak, but he's still a great finisher and is the sort of experienced player we need to only further our current crop.

Even if he barely plays, his knowledge could be massively useful for our other forwards.

There's no real downside to it as a signing.

Can't say I'm not a bit surprised, but he adds experience and knowhow, and its a low risk one 'til the end of the season.

Paying someone to train. That’s quite a downside.

He scored 2 goals in a similar role in a full season. What’s the point? Would rather take a punt on someone trying to make a name for themselves.

Perhaps coming in as a player/coach with a view to moving over to just coaching?
