Having sold Richarlison and Gordon for £100m you'd have banked on them signing a striker ...

... they're bottom, desperate and now with a worse squad than the one Lampard had.

I'd rather be us than them tbh.

Everton could easily go down this season and if they do, with Simms being under contract until June '24, they may well stick with him. After all, his goal scoring record in the Championship has been canny.
With this in mind, I'm sure we will be looking to bring in 2 other strikers in the summer. We can't be waiting for Everton to decide what they want to do with him.

Is there any actual surprise that not one player wanted to sign for Everton. They've been plastered all over the news, with fans harassing the players and such.
They are toxic and will find it really hard in the Championship next season as their current squad is horrendous.

Liverpool, as a city, can be a squalid nasty place to go with gangs of little sewer rats round every corner. Even the more reasonable people seem to relish the reputation of being scallies who are 'characters' open to a bit of coarse behaviour and casual criminality.

That reputation is known to the players and a fair few have found their homes broken into by the locals. A young lad, especially a foreigner, would actually be frightened of being confronted by screaming unbalanced scrotes.

Imagine if they're actually relegated, they'll make Mags smashing their town up look like the Salvation Army

Not really January transfer related.

But I have just read that Pogba still hasn't played after his move and has missed 27 games after refusing knee surgery. Also looks like he is showing no desire to get back in the pitch and spends most of his time posting on social media. Another lad that got paid so much the football become the lowest priority.

We have had a few! Wickham springs to mind everytime, with him there were flashes of how good he could be! With Rodwell it seemed like he had fluked his way in to football so spent his time hiding behind the opposition (when he wasn't 'injured') so he wasn't exposed as being ****e!

Diabolical that he got contracts after us, he must have thanked his lucky stars that we were a basket case so he could blame that for a while.

I was in Liverpool last year for a few days for a work gig. Right on the waterside and largely it was lovely. A huge effort has gone in and i enjoyed a couple of wanders around there. Then I went into the city a bit more and it was hard to ignore the gangs of kids sneaking around. They were bairns largely and I was in a group that was very naieve. I was like the lookout sentry <laugh>. Bit sad really. Mind you it isnt just Liverpool had the same in other cities twice last year. Society gone to ****e.

Joe Gelhardt was born in Liverpool i believe. I think I heard a bit of a scouser twang in his interview after the match.
