I think the lads showed great fight yesterday. We know a Sunderland team in the recent past that would have been bullied into a loss in that type of game !
Can't think of many of them that wouldn't have been, Reid and Keanes team maybe? Their league position for that ****e football is a ****ing joke! They should be relegation fodder!
Read his article on line in the Sun, basically very general, lots of "coulds" and "shoulds" but no real detail. Until there's something else I'd take it with a massive pinch of salt (but like I do with most of the stuff he comes out with).
Not worried about losing Patto he won’t leave for either of them. I can see the lad wanting to do PL with us. Good work on Pritch & Batth, it’s clear Danny is a massive positive influence on the squad. I spoke to his agent via work few months back and he was telling me the lad was absolutely bouncing when he got chance to come here. Desperate for the move to get done even though we were down a league at time.
We have to get used to this, especially when we are outside the PL. If we have top performing players, other clubs will come in for them. We will do very well to keep hold of Ballard, Cirkin and Patterson this summer. The key part is not losing too any players - the model is to source and buy young players then sell them on for a profit. They have to be strong enough to limit it to 2 per summer (for example). Bring in £25-30m in sales, reinvest and find replacements who could potentially be even better
Agree with this totally. I’ve seen them give up because it was to physical for them. Fought for everything yesterday gave their all and that’s all I ask.
So he didn't mention the lad being off cause his Mrs wants to move down south then? TM has a selection headache in midfield imo.
Think we have our wires crossed here, the unfounded rumours were Pritchard Mrs wanted to return to London and he'd be away in the January window. Source mad Bob October 22.
Proper CB pairing they are. Ballard is a bit of a Bentley and Danny just stick his head and body anywhere. Cracking pairing best combo we’ve had in a long, long time.
