... bringing in the wrong player could take 2/3 years to rectify.

Not to mention the disruption it can cause such as Rodwell who absolutely stunk the place out, denigrated some of the young players and set a terrible example.

The club is doing it right imo.

18 games left. Gelhardt plays up front in every game and is absolutely class. Lihadji can play up top too, so he can come on aswell. Jobs a good un.

Is it? How? Nothing is ever on the buyer’s hands in the January window. Prices are inflated. I’d rather we weren’t doing what the Mags are (on a smaller scale) and pay overly inflated fees.

Who do you envisage we can sign so easily by overpaying? Would they want to come here! Would they “fit”? And I’m not talking about the model there. I’m talking about would they be the right type of person (not player) to come in with those youngsters. As correctly mentioned by @Smug in Boots , what if we get another Rodwell moment? I’d rather not sign a striker

He does. He has a weird agenda against certain people within the club no matter how well they do. Examples being Speakman and Michut, he just can’t bring himself to praise either of them and instead just gives abuse, criticism, backhanded compliments and then demands signings. A proper weirdo

theres a small handfull OTR who have exactly the same entrenched opinions/agendas and theyll doubtless crawl out from under their rocks later if we dont sign at least 2 CFs..... and as we see around us everyday there are those that will never change their minds irrespective of a weight of evidence otherwise
