I would be staggered if Middlesborough go for Stewart. I would also be amazed if he signs on there.

Middlesborough were close to FFP problems last year according to some. Hence the silliness about sueing Derby. A big sale in the summer probably helped. I suspect they are keeping a careful watch on the next year or two and any big deals might be a challenge. £10m deals in the championship a pretty rare really too. Not sure we will be seeing one this Jan.

Ross would be a bit unambitious to sign got them, in my opinion. He would be better waiting until the summer if no prem clubs are in for him now. He keeps his current scoring record and performance levels up he will be sought after big timd in the summer.

I think it is a non starter.
He keeps his scoring rate up for us I think he will be playing in the premier League next season anyway. With us.

We should fear no one in this league.

There's no sense in Man Utd recalling him. He's playing well, getting games and goals under his belt. There's no suggestion that he'd suddenly walk into Man Utd's team and save their season. If they play the long game, and let the lad develop by playing every week for the next couple of seasons then they'll reap the rewards

Absolutely. No idea how long he's got left of his deal at utd but he would be better off here for the rest of this season then a PL loan next season. Could be with us, who knows. <laugh>

I wouldn’t be too fussed. I think he’s been quality for us though, a good signing who’ll leave as a success. Would wish him well.
Great L1 player, decent at Championship level. Offers more than his stats would suggest, but think he's becoming less important with the emergence of Amad

Looks like his injury will mean he stays with us until the end of the season.

I'm a fan of Pritchard, but I think we've been better with Roberts and Amad linking up. I know we won't have Amad next year but Pritchard will be 30 and will want an improved deal. I'd be ready to let him go and look for a younger player who contributes more goals in that position.

Aye he’s a quality player Pritch and I’d rather he stay, but not one that would kill us at all.

Don’t personally see him leaving like, I’d dispute that he doesn’t look happy he’s a big one for applauding the crowd.

His inability to play 90 probably isn’t sustainable if we gonna rely on him.

I think we will miss Pritch personally if he goes. The way he presses alongside Stewart is superb and he gives a lot of ptotection to the likes of Evans and Neil as a two. As good as the likes of Ba and Michut were last night I still think we need Pritch in against the stronger sides, particularly with Embo as well. It is the off the ball stuff that he has, from experience, I think we need.

Spot on. Let's not look at a game last night and say we possibly don't need him, there'll be a lot lot harder tasks than facing Wigan every week. Pritchard is the type of player than can have an influence in the tightest of games. And links up very well with Stewart which is probably the reason he hasn't looked at his best at times, because Stewart hasn't been there.

I think we learned a bit last night, that might inform any incomings in Jan. Michut looked good in that deep role. I could see him deputising from time to time happily. Matete I hope has given Mowbray a nudge that he could be useful second half of season too. Maybe we can trust to Evans, Neil and those two whereas I had thought we may need to dip into the market in that position. Hume looks a very good player to me. No need to do anything at right back. Ba gives us another option higher up the pitch. Where does that leave us? A striker obviously still needed. A left back as well for me. I still would like to see us with 3 keepers. That puts us in quite a luxury position. No rushing about, tweaking rather than solving. Obviously outgoings would change the picture but I wonder, perhaps naievely, if we have a Jan budget set aside we dont need so much of it and we can do a bit on a couple of key contracts...

We were still linked with keepers after Bass had signed in the summer so I think the club want 3 too. I wouldn’t be confident of Bass coming in to start league games if Patterson was injured or suspended.

He is not unhappy, but she will not move up North.

He's spent the last six years at Norwich or in the North ...

... so obviously hasn't previously been a big issue.

Why move from Huddersfield to go as far north as he could possibly go if she's so against it.

He'll be retiring in a few years in any case.

If players want to leave that's their problem imo, Pritchard isn't PL standard and has a limited amount of southern clubs he can go to ....

... Luton, Watford, Millwall, QPR and Reading.

Que sera tbh.
