Yeah we may as well pack up and go home if we miss out on him to them.I'd fear for us if we started missing out on our targets to Burnley..

We're a bigger club with far better facilities and we'll pay a higher salary. Our football is going to be better than theirs, too.
Plus, Ocean Village > Burnley. And not far from London. (appreciate he's not a London boy but it does tend to help)
We're talking about a 22-year-old professional footballer who will be a millionaire. Trust me, you can't account for their taste.Ocean Village is **** now. I wouldn’t rely on that to sell Southampton
Didn't they just sign Kerim Mrabti? I suspect a big sale would smooth the relationship with the EFL and allow them some wriggle room. They need the money, they need to strengthen. We need a pacy striker. Everyone wins. They're not allowed to sign anyone.
Interesting that RH just suggested that we may be buying someone now with the move happening in the summer

The current inactivity is bothering me a lot less than it did in last year's JTW when it was inexcusable. We really were in potential **** street then and it was a huge gamble not to spend the VVD money then on at least 3 players (we only brought in Carrillo) plus there was no excuse not to as is was bonus uncosted windfall. Most of it did get spent in the Summer and I think that this time is a calculated gamble with Ralph getting a chance to get to know and work with all of his existing squad until the end of the season before making more decisions at the end of the season.
But if the VVD money got spent on Carrillo and the summer signings, where is the money we could have spent in the summer? Oh yeah we only buy what we sell, the rest of the money we make from TV/PL deal disappears somewhere
Well you can start a protest if you want, I agree that squad investment should be higher, but they need to move on some deadwood and cut the wage bill drastically first.
Telling me where I live is ****.Ocean Village is **** now. I wouldn’t rely on that to sell Southampton

It’s not an actual ****hole or anything. It’s just not the buzzing waterfront, full of bars and restaurants and stuff, that it used to be.It’s not an actual ****hole or anything. It’s just not the buzzing waterfront, full of bars and restaurants and stuff, that it used to be.
It once aspired to be the Monaco of England. Now it’s basically Grimsby, without the fish.
Meant to be doing something about that but who knows. It is all flats now yeahIt’s not an actual ****hole or anything. It’s just not the buzzing waterfront, full of bars and restaurants and stuff, that it used to be.
