Good on him for not leaving a £1tip??
Tight is the only word for it, he probably earned £300 whilst having his hair cut
So are rich people expected to always tip and pay more for the same product/service than others?

Should they tip the checkout woman, or the bloke at the post office who processed their parcel?

Only a quid but it is still his money and is entitled to spend it how he wants.

Also, it's handy to always have a few pound coins on your person, so that you don't have to break a 20 pound note every time your kid wants some sweets.

In sum, **** that hairdresser; he should make it 20 quid instead of 19 and shut his little complaining bitch ass up.

Don't think he said tip more, just that it's an industry that most people normally tip.

It would probably take me 2-3 years to earn what he does in a week. I still tip the £1.
I don't expect it of rich people, but I would certainly hope it of decent people.

We'll agree to disagree on this - just because he is rich, doesn't mean he should have to tip.

I bet you will be shocked by the amount of money that he gives to charity - in a good way. I find most rich people are like that - appear tight by not tipping, but very generous to charities.

I'd leave the quid, but only because I don't want people thinking I'm a tight-arse. It would have nothing at all to do with me actually thinking he deserves to keep the extra money.

And that is this whole bullshit tipping culture in a nutshell.

I tip in a restaurant if the service is good. If it is crap I don't.

I get my hair cut every 4 weeks for £25 so don't tip, but always tip at xmas. I don't care if they think i am tight :)

How do we know he's rich? Could have spunked it all.

Cocaine is pretty expensive so I've been told <whistle>
