Yeh I think he wasn't really given a chance, but seems not to fit English footy either sadly

Well I just can't see how he kept being overlooked by Shane and Charlie if he was that good! The times he was goof, he was quality! Just very far and few between.

He is not good in the air nor pacey but Gabbiadini does have a good finish with little back lift when confident. Some good memories, best wishes for the future.

See ya Gabbi. 6 goals in his first 4 games and then 6 more in his last 51, hard to beat those stats. (someone can check my maths there but I think that's right). He got his competitive Italy goal with us too so hopefully that's another nice memory.

I don’t feel he was given that much of a chance but as said above 4 managers haven’t gone for him.

At a club with more service he could do very well.

We have some fond memories of Gabbi considering his overall goal count. Thanks for Wembley and Swansea, unforgettable moments.

But for four different coaches to see him in training every day and to not want to start him is pretty damning. If only it had properly worked out.

Good news is that we're getting c. £11m for him. I didn't think we'd manage to get that.

Three coaches and two of those were the worst in the clubs history.
I trust Ralph though....

Puel, Pellegrino, Hughes and Hasenhuttl? Four.

I trust Ralph too and can see the logic in what he's doing. Davis and Gabbiadini both gone now and hopefully with that money and whatever we can raise with the sale of McCarthy we can recruit what we need to move forward as a team. I'm not holding out too much hope of shifting Hoedt on a permanent just yet. Suspect that may end up being a loan until the summer, when we can sort it out properly.

Have you heard anything about Macca going DTLW, or just going by what has been discussed on here lately?

McCarthy very much up for grabs if someone makes a decent offer. Ralph rates Gunn more highly (and he suits his style better) and also considers Fraser a suitable backup.

He'd rather have the money, on top of the Gabbiadini fee and possible Hoedt money and buy in his own outfielders to implement his style of play more efficiently.
