I reckon he'll stay at Arsenal if they show ambition and get Aubameyang. Maybe some folk don't rate him based on how little Arsenal have achieved recently, but would any of you be happy if he went to City?
4th + FA Cup 3rd + FA Cup + Community Shield 2nd + Community Shield 5th (1pt off 4th) + FA Cup Currently Community Shield + LC Final 6 trophies + another final in last 4 and a half seasons. Maybe not as good as we would like but better than most! (Yes I'm claiming the community shields! Utd claimed it as part of last seasons treble ) I agree, I think particularly if we sign Aubameyang, Ozil will sign a new contract. I don't think any team in the league would turn down the chance to sign Ozil.
The idea he is lazy is a myth. He covers loads of ground. People just regurgitate the same stuff without watching him or actually looking at the stats. Just because he isn't great at defending doesn't mean he is lazy.
he undoubtedly is lazy. Only time he isn't lazy is when he thinks he can get the ball in which case he'll jog around a lot to receive it
lol did he really? for all the rings he ran, i can only remember the one significant chance iwobi had. Else the goals you scored wasn't because of Ozils creativity . anyway, i'll accept your non-argument as ozil being lazy. Thanks
Get to **** Bobby Ozil is one the players who covers the most ground in a game. He doesn't really get stuck into defending in his own half, because that's not really his game. But calling him lazy is ****ing dumb mate
English disease mate. He's a top player, just think he's not as useful when he's your best player if that makes sense?
He's never going to be the sort of player to dig you out of a hole when the **** hits the fan. That was Sanchez. But Ozil is like the metronome that keeps a team ticking. He's at the heart of almost every creative move.
It's not a myth ffs I watch a lot of football and it's quite clear he's a 'luxury' player. Good player no doubt, but he could definitely work a lot harder at times.
jogging around nonchalantly isn't that hard. It's because he has zero intensity to his defending that people call him lazy. Covering distance isn't the end all be all, it's the if theres a lack of defenders cause Bellerin has overlapped him or Ramsay decides to take the glory and run into the box, is he busting a gut to cover for his man or is he just jogging back slowly and arsenal concede on the counter again. That's what makes him lazy
You shouldn't want a player like that doing too much defending though. Wenger is certainly the wrong manager for him imo.
Not sure I buy that... When you're the underdog then yes that's required but big clubs should be having their best players conserve energy where possible.
