Yes, he’ll be our new Starman and rise to Fame in the next few Golden Years of our club’s history. I can’t wait to Drive In Saturday and see him play. Let’s Knock On Wood and hope there’s no Sorrow if I’ve doesn’t work out.

Hope he is taller than 5’8 because if he isn’t and he smiles some fans will be calling him The Laughing Gnome.

As long as he's not another David Jones, one was quite enough. Oddly the one we had has also changed his name. :emoticon-0100-smile

with 11 dead wood players gone in Jan & off the wage bill, keeping Tufan & with the 3 new players coming in I think we have a much more balanced squad now & there is no reason why City can't finish in 6th place. Really looking forward to the remaining 17 games with City banging in some goals & getting the points needed!!!
Could happen .... if we finally get much better luck with injuries & suspensions.

I'm personally not too bothered about the failure to land another winger as well as Ebiowie, as can't quite see how we could fit both of them into the team to be honest. I wasn't there on Saturday but we appear to have scored three at home by playing two central strikers feeding off each other with Tufan tucked in behind. If we play two out and out wingers we either risk going to 4-3-3 with Oscar isolated again (and where does Connolly fit in?). Or 4-4-2 with only two central midfielders and the wingers being asked to really do a lot of defensive work - in which case could see teams running through us.
Currently not even sure where Ebiowie fits in tbh.

We did play 4-4-2 on Saturday. Tufan was right wing and Slater left. Neither are out and out wingers of course but those are the positions they played.

In terms of where another winger would've fit in, just look at what we have available for this Saturday. Assuming Ebiowei can make the bench, he and Longman will be the only available attacking players on there, with Oscar and Connelly starting. Ebiowei might not make the bench, and I think we'd be in a real pickle if Oscar or Connelly were to get injured. We do have a lot of options hopefully coming back in the coming weeks, but right now we are short, and have been all season.

There's been reports Ebiowei is likely to be on the bench for Cardiff. Also Pelkas is back in training as well but I would wager its too soon for him

He doesn't come from the Mersey area by any chance does he? Doesn't have to be McCoy about being on the bench as a cover - Bowie never did !

Couple of ?
De la Fuenta: Talk on here about a deall to get him in the summer transfer window, is that correct if so where is the source?

Simons: Again talk on here about his transfer being only a loan at the moment if so where is the source?

It probably is something along these lines, but it still just seems so messy to me. In an industry of such attention to marginal gains, so much money and so much at stake it's incredible that clubs can't figure out a better way of handling the transfer window.

It sort of makes me wonder, what would happen if there were no transfer windows and you could just sign players any time. Would anyone ever actually move without the pressure of a looming deadline? Or would it just be a constant cycle of everyone waiting for someone else to twitch?

This was the old system. It was stopped mainly because the big clubs could raid the smaller clubs for their best players at any time of the season - thus derailing a potential promotion or exacerbating a relegation fight.

Nobody gets promoted or relegated in either January or August (September).
