De la fuente is a brilliant name aint it

Seems a decent player. Purchase option of around £1.5m too which is peanuts in today's market

Had a quick watch of the dreaded Youtube clips and he's playing against good opposition. Played twice in CL for Barca too so he must have something about him

Fascinating if we do sign De la Fuente.

We’d have so many options out wide when everyone is back fit/not suspended.

That’s a lot of players to keep happy.
Longman, Ally, Ebiowei, La Fuente. Out and out wide players.
Oscar, Tetteh, Connolly out and out strikers.
Pelkas, Traore, Tufan attacking midfielders.
Woods, Slater, Doc, Seri, Simons deep midfielders.

Got a sweat on typing out that many names

Yes, it’s a lot. You’ve also then got to work out if Tetteh/Connolly/Pelkas are better out wide then our actual wingers or if you leave them on the bench as Oscar is preferred up front.

It’s a good problem to have but I’m glad I’m not Rosie at the same time

It also depends on the formation, as Oscar and Connolly seem a good pair. Do we end up in a 4-2-4?

I don't think Ally is an out and out wide player at all. Playing in a front 2 would suit him

True he’s abit of a Swiss Army knife. Hopefully he’s not rushed back because he’s obviously got a long term future here and he doesn’t need to diminish his pace by injuring his hamstring over and over

Yeah seems an odd one to add when we're now actually quite stacked in attacking slots.

We are on paper, and on paper we have been all season, but in practice we haven't had a single game this season where we've had good attacking players available with backup on the bench. I can see the appeal of signing another one because there's no guarantee that Allahyar, Tetteh, Traore, Pelkas are all going to come back and be firing straight away. Next season we could do to address this issue of so many players being unavailable for so long, but for the time being I think it makes sense to just add another one to ensure we have the numbers in the short term.

We've actually got options this time round though. When he was playing in December, we needed wins. We were still in touching distance of the bottom 3 and needed to pull away. He was the only pit of pace we had.
