The Linfield loan never made sense either, he'd have been far better off either going on loan to L2/National League. At least he'll have kept building up his decent reputation in the domestic game.

Dunno how realistic it would be. I don't doubt he'd be available and I'd put us ahead of Huddersfield if he did leave but I guess it'd depend who else was in and what his wages would be like.

Hmmm, not bad as a back up, but he's one of those players that I wondered what it was that kept him playing at a high level. For a striker, he's barely done anything lately that warrants a move to an ambitious Championship club.

Not sure he'd be brought in as a direct replacement. I'd hope not anyway. Can play left of a 3 also and I'd imagine he'd come in as an experienced pro not expected to start every game.
