(* for younger viewers, it was half time 'entertainment' to distract from what was happening on / off the pitch... Good job we didn't have social media in those days)

I mean he's not saying Fleming will never play, just that with the way the side is at the moment he doesn't suit the balance. Not the end of the world.

Not sure comparing Fleming to Ashley Cole is very fair on Fleming. He was great last season in a formation where he played with 3 centre backs in the side too providing the height that Rosenior clearly thinks we need to stop conceding goals at set pieces which we’ve done all season.

Maybe if we invested in some size for the midfield we wouldn’t have to rely on doing this

Agreed. I thought the comments on Fleming related to the team as a whole lacking height especially defending set pieces. The inclusion of such as Tetteh would help with this issue

You’re proving his point TC, there is no height in the side to provide suitable cover at set pieces so therefore he’s playing Greaves too…

Just playing devils advocate...Why not a back and Fleming and Cyrus doing wing backs?

Personally I don't think Fleming that good defensively (from what I have seen). But then again, we were poor all over the place for a large chunk of this season.

Depends it if you need to contrive some outrage about it or find something to justify an existing negative bias I suppose.

Seems he has a future, just Greaves is getting the nod due to his height from set pieces.

Fair enough.
