That can only go the same way as Potter at Chelsea. He's obviously a good manager, but clubs love to make these types of appointments and then not back them.
Agreed. Same with Nuno Santo when Spurs nabbed him from Wolves. Doing well at a mid-table or bottom-half team then moving to a traditional ‘big 6’ club usually ends in tears. Mainly because a lot of these managers exceed expectations at Wolves, Brighton etc. then have to deal with supporters, the board and the players who have must higher expectations and aspirations. Obviously the money entices them but for their careers, it’s often a huge blow.
