It did, the likes of Okocha and Pedersen wouldn't have been cheap. If he's asking for north of £20k a week he can get ****ed.

I'd much rather have Allahyar on a three year deal.

Really? Allahyar has looked worse than Forss. I’m not sure what people are basing the hype on but he looks proper **** from what we’ve seen in a Hull City shirt so far.

Takes 50 minutes to call someone ****?

he’s got pedigree in europe at 20 years of age how the **** can u determine his ability in 50 minutes in games he came on when we were already losing

For the money he's asking for I'd rather we didn't

Gonna be the ultimate question of this ownership.

Investment to be sustainable is going to have to have a media value somewhere in the world, given we're now owned by a media company.

Could be a good thing, could be bad, but it's essentially going to come down to how well its executed.

Maybe it's just me but I don't think £20k a week is a lot for Babel. We've penny pinched for years and in that time footballers wages have continued to skyrocket.

£15k-20k a week will probably be the going rate for any decent Championship player.

Many of the top 6 sides will have half a dozen players on around £20k a week I'm sure. Not saying I'd give it to Babel, but it seems to be the going rate.

Mate. He's 36.

20k a week with no return value is a slippery slope to Derby like proportions.

Pedersen was ****ing ace that promotion season

Unsung City Hero.

JJ gave the lads confidence. And made Bruce Jnr look a massive tit.

But we have no experience and technically he'd still be the best in our squad and one of the best in the league. I'm not suggesting a squad full of over 36 year olds, but the odd one definitely has a part to play and could be useful
Not in the attack the experience should be making up the spine. In a holding midfielder and centre back roles don’t need overpaid NFT rapping OAPs bolstering our attack

This time last year he was still playing for the Dutch national side. He's clearly still at a good level and got 7 goals and 5 assists last year.

I really don't get the thought process. He's the same age as Big Tom who most city fans were desperate to have back. But Babel has always been a better player and is still operating at a high level.

Experience needs to be on the pitch just as much as off. At 35 pushing 36 next season we’ll be talking majority off. We don’t need overpaid players who’ll be rotting in the treatment room wondering who their next payday is after their one year deal is up

"Most" city fans would be idiots to have big Tom starting.
.That was never what he was brought in for.

I agree, Tom H has such good technical ability, he doesn't need to run around a lot. When I was up in Scotland, I saw a lot of Neil Lennon, who was not as gifted as Tom H, but he did a good job for them, he never ran more than 10 yards, but was the conduit between defense and attack.
