It’s a non starter. IMO he’d be little use to us given the lack of possession we have, he’s hardly played competitive football this season, he’s injury prone, he’s too expensive and for the money surely City could get 2-3 players of a decent quality in on loan.

We have all talked about changing our style of play to be one much more possession/passing based as opposed to our lump it up and see what happens game.
To achieve that we need players in midfield with the ability to play football, be creative and pass. At the moment we only have Tomlin with those assets.
I believe the return of Camarasa would give us a great step forward in achieving those aims.
In saying that we certainly couldn't afford his £65k per week salary. Would Palace do a deal on that to loan him to us? As we couldn't even do 50/50 that is doubtful. We would need something 30/70 in our favour at best.
They would probably ask a loan fee as well.
Would he want to play in the Championship when he could play for Norwich (according to the report) or return to Spain?
While I would love him to play for us again, notwithstanding Ninian's points against, on balance, barring other circumstances coming into play, I can't see that happening.
The other 2 reported and younger targets look useful at the levels they have played but can we gamble on them making the step up to the Championship. I have reservations.
Whether other, more experienced players of the right quality, for the right money, are available on loan, I don't know.

A pretty mundane, journeyman career until last season and this, at Shrewsbury, where his performance has stepped up significantly.
Looks like clubs thought he had potential early in his career but did nothing to justify that.
Has he seen the light or do Shrewsbury have a management team who have switched him on?
Like the Coventry player Westbrooke any major spend would be a risk on an unproven player and we have seen enough of those over the years, e.g. that lad we signed from Birmingham, Adeyemi, who was highly rated but whose career fizzled out after coming to us.
All this could be academic if he goes to one of the other clubs who appear interested.
It will all come out in the wash.
Where the hell are our scouts or don't we have any,there must be some players who can step up to championship football even in the lower divisions .I just hope if we do have scouts they are not getting paid,i will do it for free just saying.

The time to have done that was pre season.
This window is difficult for clubs to bring in players they want; it’s more a patching up exercise.
Cunningham recalled. Not that we will use him, just so Blackburn don't have to contribute to his wages while he is injured. 18 months left on his contract.
