This has to be a joke. He’s only got good press because he’s done well at international level but that is totally alien to league football where the old fashioned target man is redundant. His record at Wigan this season speaks volumes.

Who is coming up with the idea City need another non footballing footballer?

Who at the club knows anything about modern football?

If he signs I just despair<doh>

I must say I agree. We must move away from this set pattern we've adopted these past few years.

Harris didn't inspire me to be the bloke to change things, and if Moore comes here it'll confirm it.

As Frankie Howerd used to say, no, no and thrice no.

He has flattered to deceive with Wales due to having better quality players around him. 4 goals in 17 games for Wigan speaks volumes.

Us signing him would be a sideways step at best - his record is a little better than Madine.

No doubt Wigan would want to screw us on the fee, Welsh international to a Welsh club and all.

Our money would be better invested in a younger, mobile, adaptable, goal scorer from Div 1.

A journeyman. Surely no better than Ward?

I’m still struggling to understand the thinking behind the approach for Moore. If there was no money available why offer £2m for a man with 2 goals in 17 (1 a penalty) and who is not that different to Madine?

It evidences that Harris wants to play with a long ball game to target man rather than on the floor quick passing like eg Brentford (who I watched yesterday tear a QPR team who put 6 past us apart).

Moore is only effective for Wales because 1, he’s a novelty, a throw back with international defenders not used to his type and 2, he’s got Bale, James and Ramsey around him.

Why are we looking to spend money in an area we are overstocked (not great quality but lots if bodies) yet no mention of a centre mid (wages will prohibit camarasa's return) or a winger.
Unless names mentioned are head and shoulders above what we have, why bother.
Oh, and no signings that are carrying injuries please.<doh>
Like Vassell who I understood is out for the season but on the positive side I read Connelly is playing again - that’ll solve all City’s problems <whistle>

The Etheridge to West Ham rumour has resurfaced today after Fabianski's injury, Begovic gone abroad from Bournemouth and Randolph's move from Boro on hold due to fitness issues.

Smithies did well today. Would it be a great loss if we got £4m+ for Etheridge to reinvest in the squad as long as it's not Kieffer Moore?

Definitely take that. 6m with 1m potential add ons? If he continues the way he's been playing this season we'll lose him for nothing eventually, thats a steal in our favour in my opinion. Clearly WHU scouts havent been watching him this season lol.
