Watched him playing for Plymouth down there in my last City away league game just before we bought him off them. We were winning 3-0 and coasting - I think Chops got 2 of them.

Dave Jones had his arms folded as usual and we were all set to bring the 3 points back with us and Holloway was jumping up and down on the touchline shouting at his players urging them on.

Then Kev McNaughton sliced the ball in our own net before they scored a second, and Darren Purse scored a peach of an own goal to give them their 3rd. We couldn't believe it and had to settle for a point. Got a feeling Willo Flood (remember him?) got a rare run out as a sub.

It was hard to take, and if that wasn't enough, then DJ bought Capaldi. <doh>

Remember listening to that Plymouth collapse on the radio not believing what I was hearing.

Willo Flood got the winner for us at Leeds - his only goal I think.

Ps I see we missed out on Ledley <doh>

Fair play, Charlton have had a terrible time with midfielder injuries lately, and had to use some of their kids to just make up the numbers.

Leds is a viable ready made option for them. Having said that, they're so desperate they'd probably have signed Gascoigne if he'd been out of rehab.

Took me a while to twig the "record breaking" reference. Played in la liga when 16 and a bit.

We seem very keen on taking injured players. Vassel anyone.

Go on, anyone?
 
Jazz wasn’t even on the bench last night nor Glatzel.

Can’t see him doing much in January. It’s a pointless window period by and large.

I’d like to see a huge clean out this summer and replacements aplenty come in to play a high tempo style of football like Brentford.
