Don't you celebrate the Orthodox Xmas in Serbia, so by my reckoning it is time for the lights to come down. Having said that I was in Yekaterinburg (Russia) in May 2013, being taken to a client when Wham's "Last Christmas" was played on the radio.
 
Shall we close the thread and pretend nothing was ever said? Maybe it would work. Like when I'm not at a game and refuse to look at my phone because I know if I do the other lot will score and then when I do look they've scored anyway. So if we all go "Pah, I fart on your transfer window" and ignore it, we'll all wake up on February 1 to find we've signed Ronaldo and Messi. Or alternatively that sod all will have happened, which is what we're beginning to suspect anyway so why waste the energy coming on here and thinking that this thread is going to have any news?

Sod it, now where did I leave that plot?

We must be down to our third choices by now and even they will want to take us for a ride, but without the leverage to make us up the ante. I know Long's illness isn't likely to be prolonged, but it has exposed our vulnerability.....we can't go into the rest of the season with just 2 strikers....we can't count on Austin being available much. We need the loan of a reasonable striker as emergency cover as a bare minimum.

Definition of striker please? At Saints It’s almost as loose as some of the supposed celebrities that turn up on reality tv shows. To me a striker is somebody who has a strike rate better than one goal in a year. A celebrity is someone who has had a decent career and been around abit, rather than just displaying their tanned body on some vacuous program for ten seconds
 
124 pages and still absolutely FA........we all know what we want, we have bucket loads of cash, we are a "massive" club in 18th place in the rich list so why is it our top brass can't manager to get two or three much needed players into the club?
And I think we all know the answer to that one too

Please stop using the word swoop during the transfer window. We don't "swoop" we methodically weave complex webs, ofter over the course of many years and lie in wait passively for our targets, often over the course of many years.
The goal is to one day capture a target before they, or we, all die of old age or 'transfer starvation' (a fatal condition whose incidence has been dramatically rising since 2015.)

I have inside knowledge that any transfers we make this window will happen in the next 7 days, don't ask me my source but he says if nothing happens in the next 7 days then we won't be doing any business till the summer. Exciting times ahead.
