I really don't see Promes coming here. Apart from he himself already having said he wasn't interested, he would double our transfer record which has only very slowly been creeping up over the last 5 years. His wages would also be an issue.
Dembele seems far more up our street in terms of price, wages, profitability, relationship with the selling club etc. and yet there's been no sign we are even interested.
I'm not sure Carillo is really worth that either, but if he comes in and scores the goals needed to keep us up he'll be worth every penny. We definitely need reinforecements, so if we have to pay over the odds to get the players we want in, than I hope thats what the club does. Be crazy not to in our current situation.

I wouldn't mind us going for Adam Flint from Bristol City, he'd definitely give us some much needed steel in defence. Apparently available for around £10m which isn't a lot in the current market.

Seen him quite a lot and am not sure how good he would be in the Prem. Is very good in the air but gets turned inside out when the ball is on the deck even by Champ forwards. It is Aidan Flint as well btw.
People have said we need a dominant presence in the air at CB though and he would definitely give us that
Yeah I would mainly sign him as an option for games when we're up against a big striker that we usually struggle against. A short term option but one that could be a big help.

Here’s an even better idea, you could have players who are “club-tied”. You could call the system “contracts”.
Man city going hard after another centre back means Mangala would probably be available. Fits our profile I'd say and more of a plug and play option. Scoring goals the unquestionable priority though.
