Potentially could be a very good acquisition, hope we've got an option to make this one permanent?

If we get a proven striker in, then Terrys got absolutely no excuse not to get us back into The Championship! Really want to see us putting some teams to the sword, all these missed chances thus far and scrapping narrow wins too often could then be a thing of the past

I wouldn't be surprised if this is our business done with players coming in

Reported in the Daily Fail... KLP's first words on the signing of the contract were .... 'I'm delighted'.... cant see that being true.... two words maybe ...

We were stitched up good and proper after the Sheff Weds win at Wembley. Bruce was undecided what he wanted to do after he had to be begged to give us another year after we were relegated. The Allams thought the club had been sold, then that deal stalled at the last minute. In the meantime Bruce walked, then they chased Chris Coleman who was managing Wales in the Euro's, he kept us waiting for a decision which was taken out of his hands when the Wales FA refused to release him, again at the very last minute.
If you remember the chairman's farewell notes in the Leicester programme it shows how close a deal to selling the club was. It was all last minute. Sometime the facts don't fit people's agenda's, but that is what happened. It cost us our Premier League place.

plus Bruce was chasing the England Manager's job at the time

Didnt know whether to put this on Something Completely Different or here.... Jackson Irvine speaking to some Scots newspaper...

He has told the Daily Record: “There was a lot of training in parks in Hull on your own. It was incredibly difficult. Labradors coming and taking your ball away when you’re trying to do a drill.

<laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>.... no comment..

I believe he's out of contract at Birmingham come the end of the season.

Should have signed for Raith Rovers.

Brilliant news, makes absolute sense for the lad. At his young age, he doesn't need the distractions of moving away from home etc, he needs the comfort of family support, so he can just concentrate on footie and letting his boots do the talking. Length of contracts don’t really mean anything, if he excels rest assured he won’t be held to the 3 years or whatever, we all know Ehab will want to cash in.

He must be now buzzing like a fridge, get the lad starting tomorrow, let’s hope he gets a hat trick. And 3 points. UTT.

Them pesky Labradors

Young players often get tied into agency deals with significant exit/compensation clauses should a player go against the "advice" of the agent.

Likes of Milner just used the PFA and it didn't do his career any harm..
so an agent could just offer **** advice when a contract is coming to an end in an attempt to get extra money if he doesnt think the contract will be renewed

Some agents are absolutely fantastic at looking after the long term best interests of their client and are an asset to both clubs and players, but on the flip side... Some are absolute bottom feeders and are only out for what they can make, the company that represent KLP have a very bad rep within the game and where described to me as the ambulance chasers of the sports agent world

"Any 2.5 year deal signed now would start in January 2021 and end in June 2023 with the option of an extra year for the club.
I don't see how anybody would think anything different."

I'm a genius!

(Narrator: He was not a genius.)

So the comments about replacing the present contract with a new contract starting on the same date was nonsense.
I dont think anybody has ever agreed a contract like that.
