Only made his full debut a couple of months ago, albeit he scored a hat trick last month, 5 goals in 12 games. 19 Year old replacement for Lewis-Potter had he not signed? Terry intimated a replacement would be signed if Keane did not sign on the dotted line.
KLP all sorted. https://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/2021/january/keane-lewis-potter-signs-new-contract/
We were stitched up good and proper after the Sheff Weds win at Wembley. Bruce was undecided what he wanted to do after he had to be begged to give us another year after we were relegated. The Allams thought the club had been sold, then that deal stalled at the last minute. In the meantime Bruce walked, then they chased Chris Coleman who was managing Wales in the Euro's, he kept us waiting for a decision which was taken out of his hands when the Wales FA refused to release him, again at the very last minute. If you remember the chairman's farewell notes in the Leicester programme it shows how close a deal to selling the club was. It was all last minute. Sometime the facts don't fit people's agenda's, but that is what happened. It cost us our Premier League place.
'Hull City are delighted to announce that forward Keane Lewis-Potter has signed a new contract until the summer of 2023'. The HDM said the new deal was until 2022, then they amended it to 2023 + one year option, now City announce it's to 2023. Still, it's great news, however long it's for.
Well that's one less problem to worry about. Good news. We just need to turn on the goal scoring machine now till the end of the season!
Finally! What a complicated mess that was highly avoidable! Hope KLP is happy and hungry...that's all that matters
Nice to see the KLP situation finally resolved .. from what was being mentioned on here was bringing disharmony to the squad .. which may or may not have contributed to our recent poor form. Fingers crossed this was settle it down a bit and 3 points tomorrow will do nicely thank you very much
Till 2023 with a 1 year option according to the club website. Hunch with the agent; I'm pretty sure a player can only sign a 2 year deal with an agent. I wonder if that's coming to an end within the next year or so, he'll have most of the best agents in the country wanting him. Was maybe the last chance for his current agents to get some money out of him, hence why they've been offering him everywhere. Doesn't excuse us messing around but seems a reasonable assumption.
Intriguing that Grant sees him as a forward. “He will make a difference in the front three and is versatile in how he can play, off the left or as a 10, sometimes as a nine. Would be interested to see him as a false 9
