Exactly why I didn't claim to know what had happened or why, I just remembered it happening.... As you say, not the same situation. Just the same outcome unfortunately

Did a search it says the fee was undisclosed.

It could be argued back and forth all night, but the sad fact is, a local lad that's been at our club since 8, isn't playing due to no fault of his own ( it would seem ) and his career is potentially grinding to a halt due to a representative representing him in an extremely shortsighted and selfish way and an owner who is cutting his nose of to spite his face to try and prove to anyone he's the man! It's shocking and embarrassing from both sides!

From what I've been passed on today, it seems a couple of the older heads in the squad have and are continuing to try and get KLP away from his representative and talk to the club via them to sort it out. The final straw in there eyes was the agent bringing offers to the club when KLP ( so against his wishes) has made it clear he doesn't want to leave.

Good to hear, that KLP team mates are with him trying to sort this out and not just looking after themselves.
Be a breath of fresh air to get him back in, firing on all cylinders, scoring / creating goals and taking pressure off the defence.

Sign tomorrow or don't play is a typical media spin on the truth. The none sensational burnsey truth is more " you need to make a final decision one way or another, so we can decide on our transfer business for the remainder of Jan"

But that doesn't stir up half as much ill feeling or Twitter engagement etc. Talk about play on local feeling to create more hostility

I hear what you’re saying, & understand DB as a journalist, needs a story but he couldn’t stir up any more hate I already have for the family of scum who own our club. I despise them.

What they’re doing could be spun as protecting their interests but in reality they’re bullying a 19 year old lad who in any other trade would be an apprentice. Like I said ... scum.

The statement he has made though is just plain wrong and hate stiring, I genuinely thought he was better then that, he has his following and his fans, he doesn't need to stoop to those levels at all.

They have told him he needs to make a final decision and yes it's to protect the club's interest ( as any owner should do in any situation ) but its not sign tomorrow or don't play full stop. They have asked him to sign a contract at a reasonable length ( in line with all the other young lads who have recently signed ) attached to a good wage rise. He wants to stay and the club want him to stay.

The way the club has handled it is absolutely ****!

The way the representative has acted is ****ing abysmal and sly

This kind of post by our good old award winning Local DJ really really isn't going to help anything at all is it

It's Burns' job to put the opposing view and offer right of reply. He's a journalist and I think generally a good one. Damn good commentator too. Try listening to the ifollow coverage without pictures and you'll see the difference.

He'll have his source and considering the club don't exactly engage the local press is probably getting his info from the agent. At least he's offering right of reply.

Frankly he's not wrong that the playing restrictions imposed seem self defeating but is perhaps not scrutinising his source in quite the same way as the club - but part of scrutinising his information is to offer the club right of reply. He's not getting anything back probably because of confidentialities but that plays in the public domain as the club solely being at fault.

There's a lot of confirmation bias going on among supporters. People will believe the club is in the wrong due to the (often justified) pre-existing dislike of Ehab.

That's not necessarily Burnsy's fault. That's Enobs fault.

It's almost that off target that he may well be being set up or his source is. Not the first time something extremely daft is leaked to find out where the leaks are coming from.

The club, I agree is **** under the current administration and they haven't handled this well at all as per usual! But they are trying to do what they should have been doing for years in trying to get our home grown lads on better/longer deals... As per in the worst possible way.

The squad overlying feeling is KLP is being taken for a fool by his representative and that's why they are intervening, they do also feel the way it's been dropped into the media by the club as totally wrong also
