James McClean

I did not wear a poppy. Just feel it has been hijacked by numpties and "look at me brigade".

I am not comfortable about certain wars we have been involved in, especially Iraq and Afghanistan.

I did respect the silence for all those who were either maimed or lost their lives. That is just my personal opinion. I don't agree with anyone being co-erced or pressured into something.

Don't wear a poppy if you don't want to but just respect the silence.

Doesn't make sense you fat ****. Wearing a poppy has become Corbyn not bowing?
I meant it become mandatory to act in a certain way ...

So, because he didn't bow "enough", he's getting slated!

Ya ****.

The right wing press will vilify him for every slight thing, like what they did with Foot and Kinnock. It's why some of us were arguing on an earlier thread that he would be a disaster for Labour. Not because of his politics or his beliefs - it's simply because he doesn't serve the interests of the rich or powerful.

It's another reason why I want independence - to be away from the Westminster bubble. Some dafties think the Tories (and New Labour) are good for the economy. The only economy they care about is their own pockets. Any benefits the rest of us receive are purely unintentional and short-term.
