âThe first two posts have an element of bullying, akin to the Nazi doctrine of if you are not with us then you must be against us.â
An element of bullying?
The way I perceive it, they are expressing their opinions just as you are doing.
Do you ever counter anything? Do you ever feel frustrated with society and/or other human beings with opposing views? If so, is it bullying?
I see nothing but personal opinion in the posts you highlight and to equate them to Nazi doctrine is juvenile, laughable and in a way, insulting to those who suffered at the hands of genuine Nazi doctrine.
The irony of your post is of course the fact by denouncing the opinion of others (and denouncing their intent to express it) holds as much of an element of bullying as any of the posts you highlight.
So come on then, tell me, is it better to dance to the tune of Jason Van Berk and café or the WYP, as both seem to want to impose their will on others?
The diatribe of café, criticises folk in the street who probably could not give a **** about football; indeed some out there believe it encourages violence and loutish behaviour â letâs face it, they have have had ample cause over the years. The whole reference to Notts miners was an insult and stinks to the high heavens of someone with issues. Café wonât accept being bullied, well so wonât others, we prefer to make our owm decisions without someone trying to marginalise us.
Yes, I expressed my opinion,
no, I did not criticise others for not sharing it â not once. There is no irony in my posts, only in the myopic manner in which some choose to interpret them.
But what about you?
You say to cafe: Excellent post.
"You sum up the individualistic âcouldnât give a ****â attitude that is prevalent today."
So what are you on about there, then? Seen as you are talking to me, I have sent off emails, completed the survey and travelled a ****ing long way to attend my clubs home fixture, so am I not allowed to have a different opinion on how to proceed? I have criticised no one for there's. whereas you certainly appear to in that one sentence alone; perhaps folk do 'give a ****', they simply wish to give a **** in a different manner to you.
You did go on to say:
"Naturally, the entire action might well be ultimately futile, but in my opinion that shouldnât discourage or sully the fight and I donât think âweâ should be dismissive if people are making a stand.
If we stand up and then other clubsâ fans in similar situations do, we could be a part of change in the longer term. "
You might find that is pretty much what I am saying, only I do allow people to choose one way or the other.
Good luck with whichever course of action you decide is approriate.
