But if you drink then you cannot drive back to Hartshead Moor and I doubt there would be a bus going there.

WYP are penny pinching, they won't provide the amount of Police they think they need and there is no fighting against that no matter how ridiculous it all is.

The first two posts have an element of bullying, akin to the Nazi doctrine of if you are not with us then you must be against us. Those are the two I had issue with and I think that was very obvious.

As for your post, DMD; if you were to take the trouble to read back through my posts and responses to you, then you will not find one single instance were I have accused you personally of anything (more than I can say for you!), I have only expressed a different opinion about how the matter should proceed, I have not suggested it be dropped totally as a wider debate, but that this particular instance has run it's course as far as public awareness is concerned. Further actions of boycott will damage both clubs and, quite possibly, our promotion hopes; as we have got public, industry and political support already , is boycotting a bit of a pointless action? In the early days it was a viable and justifiable threat, but now . . .

“The first two posts have an element of bullying, akin to the Nazi doctrine of if you are not with us then you must be against us.”

    An element of bullying?

The way I perceive it, they are expressing their opinions just as you are doing.

Do you ever counter anything? Do you ever feel frustrated with society and/or other human beings with opposing views? If so, is it bullying?

I see nothing but personal opinion in the posts you highlight and to equate them to Nazi doctrine is juvenile, laughable and in a way, insulting to those who suffered at the hands of genuine Nazi doctrine.

The irony of your post is of course the fact by denouncing the opinion of others (and denouncing their intent to express it) holds as much of an element of bullying as any of the posts you highlight.

The difference now is that the police will have no idea where THESE groups will be and have less power to control US.

The difference between your group (US) and (THOSE) groups is what exactly?
In what way do their rights differ from yours?
Who are these risk supporters who you support the persecution of?

and round and round we go again.:emoticon-0114-dull:

I DO NOT SUPPORT THE PERSECUTION OF ANYONE.

What I've repeatedly said is that, in the event that the police have intelligence that clearly shows a group liable to commit criminal offences, they should target that group and leave the rest of us alone. What I've also added is that I can think of very few occasions where the Police will ever have such evidence. What they have for the Huddersfield game certainly doesn't amount to any evidence at all.

So come on then, tell me, is it better to dance to the tune of Jason Van Berk and café or the WYP, as both seem to want to impose their will on others?

The diatribe of café, criticises folk in the street who probably could not give a **** about football; indeed some out there believe it encourages violence and loutish behaviour – let’s face it, they have have had ample cause over the years. The whole reference to Notts miners was an insult and stinks to the high heavens of someone with issues. Café won’t accept being bullied, well so won’t others, we prefer to make our owm decisions without someone trying to marginalise us.

Yes, I expressed my opinion, no, I did not criticise others for not sharing it – not once. There is no irony in my posts, only in the myopic manner in which some choose to interpret them.

    But what about you?

You say to cafe: Excellent post. "You sum up the individualistic ‘couldn’t give a ****’ attitude that is prevalent today."

So what are you on about there, then? Seen as you are talking to me, I have sent off emails, completed the survey and travelled a ****ing long way to attend my clubs home fixture, so am I not allowed to have a different opinion on how to proceed? I have criticised no one for there's. whereas you certainly appear to in that one sentence alone; perhaps folk do 'give a ****', they simply wish to give a **** in a different manner to you.

You did go on to say:
"Naturally, the entire action might well be ultimately futile, but in my opinion that shouldn’t discourage or sully the fight and I don’t think ‘we’ should be dismissive if people are making a stand.

If we stand up and then other clubs’ fans in similar situations do, we could be a part of change in the longer term. "

You might find that is pretty much what I am saying, only I do allow people to choose one way or the other.

Good luck with whichever course of action you decide is approriate.

I understand what you are saying, but again your words indicated something other:

The irony is that in all probability, the "risk" supporters the police based their actions on will still be going to Huddersfield along with a lot of others from Hull. The difference now is that the Police will have no idea where these groups will be and will have less power to control us.

You say that the 'risk' (or whatever they are) supporters will still be going, along with alot of others, so you do seem to accept that we have an element of fans who are a problem and will probably travel. This does tend to give the WYP some ground, albeit it woefully poor.

The quote marks around "risk" say otherwise. I used the term to emphasise the ineffectiveness of the WYP position.

I'm not at all clear on what you're trying to say there.

basically certain groups of Huddersfield "people" are going to be making sure they get instigated by hull fans to cause trouble ... its so easy for them .. as we have placed it on a marble national news programme pedestal ...

I hope you can promise every single opne behaves in Huddersfield .. otherwise you will see it everywhere .. after all your campaign is everywhere isn't it ?

ps ... not talking 1 or 2 .. talking towards 50 of them spreading around

Fez.I am not for one minute thinking this is in the same league but if you had been around in Germany around 1940 would you have tried to influence people to stand up for basic human rights?
People used to laugh at that ridiculous little man. Then they stopped.
As stated I can see the vast difference in circumstances.
I do not see why the starter of this thread did not expect to have people voice critisism of his statement.I did not say I supported the miners or I was against the "scab"element you refer to.I was suggesting that the authorities have often used the divide and conquer techniques to carry on their merry way.
For good measure I am alot older than 47 and if you want to intimidate me with your record as a hard nut you have been succesful-which brings us back to the little Austrian chap in Germany you ****ing ****er.

Hmm, no it doesn't. If you had put the 'so-called "risk" supporters' it would have been more obvious, but what we read was simply your literal use of a WYP term. But it is clear now.

For one, it's not MY campaign, but if you're suggesting that some Huddersfield fans may want to take advantage, you could well be right. You'd also be right in assuming that the Police would try to lay the blame at our door no matter what the reality. They've a history of it after all. But if you're suggesting that's a reason to not protest there, we'll have to disagree.

To be fair, it was always a very obvious risk that the town centre conclaves were inviting; it is certainly one of the key reasons I have adopted my recent position, the other is that not to support the team is now futile as the political argument is in motion and a boycott will not strengthen it further, but city centre trouble that involves our support will damage it immeasurably. A very good and legitimate argument has been made and escalated to national level, we should now support the club and team in exception to that.

Edit: There is absolutely no guarantee that Hull and Hudds bovver boys will be the only people targetting the match day.
