I was told weeks ago, by someone, on this thread, that Fowler would be going.

I was also told, this week, that Parkinson would be appointed on a short contract and would use existing staff whereas Pearson wanted all of his own and a longer contract. That was also info from someone who posts on here and RTG but daren't risk posting. As this is only a gossip and opinion board that's a shame imo.

Understand James Fowler's contract was sorted last night and he has left [HASHTAG]#safc[/HASHTAG]. Suggestion is that Potter and Samson may stay on as part of new manager's backroom staff

What about Delilah?

I said a while back that Donald could become our Ashley ...

... I seriously hope I'm wrong but the parallels are glaring.
At least Ashley's team are playing in the Premier League though! Sustained premier league for the most part. I'd swap that for our current situation!

(Oh and our record signing is Didier N'Dong for £14m then Asamoah Gyan for £13m. OK so Joelinton and Almiron aren't very goot but they're £60m of not very good! Be nice to have someone willing to invest that sort of money in our playing staff!!)

Club announcement is a wall of text trying to justify Parkinson and now they've just tweeted a 'factfile' about how great he is. If you're having to try and brag about the new manager to win over fans, you know it was an unpopular choice. Ridiculous. I'll still be there at Wycombe and with my season ticket to back him, but what on earth has happened to my club over the years that we're hedging for the cheapest option and passing over strong characters and exciting younger managers...?

The statement is a horrific read isn’t it? Talk about spin.

‘He’s won 7 manager of the month awards’. So ****, he’s 51 and we know he’s had promotion campaigns, they could come in 1 season!

I will get behind the manager and team, because the club is in my blood, but I want the ownership issues done as these ****ers are clueless and think we are all idiots.

Who ever typed out the statement sounds like they've been on the Frosty jacks lol

been cut n pasted from ‘Google Phil Parkinson’.

I will back him, that’s our role in the club, but not the owners.

Ive no faith in them whatsoever now on the footballing side. They had an opportunity to excite fans and close some of the divide that’s been forming and they ignored it altogether.

They're ****s, this has ****ed it for me. People can say "you don't know what's going on behind the scenes" yada yada but there is no way in hell that Parkinson was the best available option to a club of our stature. No way.

They've been cheap with this appointment to an almost inconceivable level. The difference in cost for, say, a Stendel or Pearson would have been completely insignificant when compared to playing staff wages and overall running expenses of a football club this size. It's honestly mind-blowing that they could **** this up this much.

Parky has played a blinder getting himself a 30 month contract.
He simply can't lose.
Kudos to him. He's had SD's pants down. :emoticon-0137-clapp

That statement is a truly horrendous read. Like something you’d see from them lot up the road.

Like they’re trying to polish a turd. Truly pathetic appointment

Pretty much agreed, it will be horrific if we lose the next few games. Call it negative if you like, I just call it thinking out of the box.

Which begs the question why a two and a half year deal? Surely til the end of the season with a option for a further year or two would have suited us better?

truly bizarre appointment on all fronts

Hang about. How long ago was gyan bought. And until almiron was bought owen had been their most expensive signing and iirc cost under 20m.
