They're ****s, this has ****ed it for me. People can say "you don't know what's going on behind the scenes" yada yada but there is no way in hell that Parkinson was the best available option to a club of our stature. No way.

They've been cheap with this appointment to an almost inconceivable level. The difference in cost for, say, a Stendel or Pearson would have been completely insignificant when compared to playing staff wages and overall running expenses of a football club this size. It's honestly mind-blowing that they could **** this up this much.

Penny pinching never works...

Last season was a prime example of that.

Donald is losing the goodwill from the fans...

Hang about. How long ago was gyan bought. And until almiron was bought owen had been their most expensive signing and iirc cost under 20m.
2010 we signed Gyan! And yeah Owen was their record before Almiron.

I suppose time will tell as to whether Donald is our "Ashley" - But Ashley has money and won't spend it - I see Donald as having a little money (without massive amounts) and willing to spend what he can afford

"Penny pinching" to me indicates that the moey is there but won't be spent.

Most think Donald doesn't have the money so he's not really penny pinching more working to his budget. Fans dislike the fact that x, y or z haven't arrived Maybe x, y and z wanted more money than we have?

Guess we'll never know

I always take what I'm told, second hand, with a pinch of salt even from good mates.

However I have to apologise to the lad who first said Parkinson had been given the job and was at the AOL with Donald.

It seems he may well have been spot on, despite what Roker Report knew as a fact.

I heard somewhere that it was Parkin who took the training yesterday.

Here's an RR article on our new assistant manager. Seems like a decent right hand man.

Hopefully the bit about developing youth is true here as well.

As in, it wasn't parkinson that took the training, it was his assistant manager so RR were correct and that guy yesterday was partly correct.

So RR are correct despite there being no quotes from either man, it's quite possible.

Some people might say RR are repeating what they've been told as they've done before.

Besides, as I said in the post you quoted ....

As you keep saying we're all speculating who's telling the truth and to what degree.

Cheers for that, felt some enthusiasm for the first time since the announcement.

Fowler gigged at Queen of the South and Kilmarnock before coming here, Parkinson and Parkin are Clough and Taylor compared to that.

I agree, with this squad they may well achieve step 1.

Incidentally, a Sunderland/Mansfield supporting mate of mine knows Parkin personally <laugh>

Bloody hell man, I wasn't picking on your post. The bloke yesterday (who admitted to being on the wind up) said he (parkinson) took training, not that he was at the AOL with Donald. Anyway, wasn't trying to start a debate over this, was just an observation, leading onto the article I posted about Parkin.

You might have responded to the OP in that case.

Whatever the case I was just making an observation, it's no big deal.

Oh no, here we go,
Meltdown in tha know o_O:eek::p ;)

Oh well, gutted it wasn't Stendel tbh but who knows ?
Parkinson has done pretty well and could do better than Stendel might of.

Here's hoping and lets start with a win at Wycombe.

Just realised him & Parkin were in charge of Bradford when they humiliated us in the FA cup

Under Poyet that was another truly disgraceful performance by us
