I think you're find the tooth was stolen from him. But these things happen in a game of football, let's just move on.
One thing not mentioned - he's obviously an exceptional player and integral to Uruguay's chances. If I were one of the Uruguay players, having just impressively got through to the knock-out stage of the World Cup, I'd be mighty ****ed off that our best player had decided to screw things by getting himself banned for the tournament. Same for the fans really.
If a player causes trouble like Suarez, is it possible for a club to sue for damages? His actions will cost Liverpool (as well as pissing off his country).
Yes, I recall Chelsea suing Mutu for millions when he was given a global ban for drugs offences: http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2010/jun/14/adrian-mutu-chelsea Will be interesting to see what Liverpool do now, given that they stuck by him before.
Sorry if this has been posted before, but came across this article that was an interesting read. It looks at his history and possible reasons as to why he has these moments of madness as well as what has driven him to reach the level he has. http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/sto...r-most-beautiful-player?ex_cid=sportscenterFB It was written before the World Cup, so doesn't include this latest incident. You have to scroll through the portraits of Suarez to get to the actual article.

Mutu was sacked though so it was a contractual thing. Don't really see how they can do anything seeing as they backed him when he bit someone in a Liverpool shirt......(oh and for racism)
Apparently, last night may well have not been the first time Suarez had a bite of Chiellini on his mind... From the Confederations Cup last year. Could just be a well timed photograph though.
