Everyone keeps saying that you could tell Suarez knew he'd have the book thrown at him going by the look he had upon leaving the pitch. I think that look was actually the realisation dawning that he'd have to stay another season at Liverpool....

Yep, again and Chiellini elbowed him in the face before both falling to the ground.

I was watching this in Plaza Major in Palma and everyone just fell about laughing at the incident. Both trying to milk the incident for what it was. I think Suarez was trying to give him a smaker on the lips at the time but just fell a little bit short.

As for the match itself, if Italy actually had tried to play football they might have got a win. As it was, they decided on a variety of spoiling tactics and came unstuck and deservedly so.

I was worried that even though he clearly bit him that he'd get away with it just because the angles weren't absolutely definitively clear, but looking at that there is absolutely no excuse for FIFA not to bring the hammer down on him (Of course FIFA don't need excuses to be incompetent so we'll see).

Norwegian Richard Helmersen can start splashing the cash thanks to Luis Suarez's apparent bite on Italy's Giorgio Chinellini.

The gambler has won £1600 after backing the Uruguay striker to bite someone at the World Cup at odds of 175-1, and the company has decided to pay out.

<laugh>

I think it's disgusting the way Chiellini thrust his shoulder into Suarez's open mouth, twice , and then forced the innocent non racist Suarez to bite down on his shoulder, and then move up his shoulder when he could not get a decent bite the first time. You can see the pain and anguish on Suarez's face when he was holding his teeth after the event, clearly worried that his image rights would no longer fund his immense charity work.

Oh sorry, thought I was a scouser and this was the Liverpool board!
