So,let me ask you again. Did you PERSONALLY hear Laudrup say that he would only manage a big Club? You seem totally obsessed with him, where he is working, what he may,or may not achieve. Why are you so set against this man? What did he do to incur such hatred? Apart, that is,from winning us a major Cup,taking the team into Europe, enhancing the Club's profile by being it's manager,oh,and achieving a top ten position. Sad.
I only respond about Laudrup Vetch when slightly veiled digs are hurled at the club or Monk as you yourself alluded to in earlier posts regarding Monk and watches. I've always credited Laudrup with his first season and everything he brought to the club in terms of players and success. That said I also saw his second season as a shambles and diabolical at times and he deserves criticism for that, and agree with the club that he had to be sacked. I have also said that the way the sacking was handled was also a shambles. Look at your last sentence Vetch. That happened the season before and he deserves all the plaudits in the world for that season. 2nd season and we were going backwards under an alarming rate with no confidence and a split dressing room, with a very serious chance of relegation.
I have never argued that Laudrup should not have gone. On the contrary,in the weeks before his departure he looked beaten, dejected, and on borrowed time, and I can only speculate on the reasons for that, but won't bother, since it will only escalate things. I tend to respond to the negativity, poison, lies, etc.,that proliferate on this forum towards him. He is not here to defend himself against the bullies,so I take it upon myself to do so. Just as I did for Martinez,Rodgers, and the nutter from Penclawdd. I will do the same when it's Monk's turn.
Oh my ****ing God! For the love of Jesus and his wee donkey, can we PLEASE leave the ****ing Laudrup/Monk **** alone. He's gone! His record is a matter of history now. If someone is saying nasty things about him, you can rest assured he isn't reading it here. He doesn't need defending. As for Monk, his record is a matter for ongoing assessment. At the moment we have no, I REPEAT, NO idea what is going on behind the scenes until it's officially spouted by the club. Most of the problem on this board is precipitated by people arguing over stuff that they can't even corroborate of they have another opinion on.
Well, thanks for the praise. Greatly appreciated. I'd rather be a hero than a ****ing imbecile - any day.
I'm liking this debate Always liked a pub that promised the chance of a flying bar stool heading my way
I think if we all met up in a pub to debate this topic, there'd be no bar stools left to throw by now
I imagine Phillip throwing a punch at me, I duck, he smacks Plastic. I uppercut Phillip and have a big smile on my face....at that point DaiSwan smashes a bottle over my head.....I charge at him and knock him over the bar. At which point Libertarian slides along it having been hurled by Valley....who doesn't realise that Swanselona is stood behind him with a pool cue raised above his head. FFS has been hurled through the window by Roof, Roof turns around only to be punched through the same window by Shaper....(the sound of banjo music, the metallic smell of blood).... We all wake up in the same cell..... (Please feel free to continue )
Well if I did, I wouldn't follow the Swans! Or come on this board, lol. Seriously through, a can't be in a minority when I say I'm sick of the Laudrup/monk debate. Surely we can all just consign it to history and leave well alone in the knowledge that it can't be debated sensibly by many people.
PGF would be behind the bar guzzling the shorts....occasionally taking the time to trip one of us, cackling menacingly
