Too many potatoes are not a good idea if, like myself, you are diabetic.Bread and potatoes affect my sugar levels more than things which are high in carbs like rice and pasta. Of course portion control is important as we all tend to eat far larger portions of those than are sensible, Best thing I’ve ever bought is a slow cooker. You can produce some great meals from basic ingredients in one. And, if eating meat, cheap cuts are even better and chicken is brilliant, as is a ragu for pasta. Costs of runningnit are minimal as well.
One funny thing, no matter what tablets you are on the doctor says only have two pints. I am on three where that is the case so assumed that meant 6 were alright and if I went over by 2 or 3 then it wouldn't do too much harm. Though an increased dosage of one heart tablet has meant me cutting out nearly altogether as the effects are crap if I drink a lot and I would rather have none than just or 3. I found out the prices of some of the tablets I am on, 9 different ones, sprays and an injection. Just 2 of the tablets and the injection come to just under £800 a month. Plus the strips to test for sugar levels would cost £20 every 12 days. Thank heavens for the NHS. I don’t pay prescription costs but even if I did I wouldn’t be one of those complaining about them.
Stop drinking alcohol and start eating more prickly pear https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/323915.php

My doctor when Inwas younger used to offer you a cig. Once he came to my house when I had a bad bout of tonsilitis which I ended up in hospital with when I was 14, offered my dad s cig and asked him if his would want one with his sore throat. My dad said I didn’t smoke. Little did he know.
Thanks for all your good advice and good wishes here folks. I'll do as the Doc tells me, I promise. I owe it to my loved ones because... It's funny but I remember when I was younger the thought that one day I will die was horrible. Being dead would be ****. Somewhere along the way my thoughts on that changed to, I simply can't die early because of all the devastation and heartbreak I would leave behind. It wasn't about me anymore. That's a really powerful motivation. All these messages have cheered me up no end. Thank you so much. Kemps
I know it's been there a long time now but My daughter and I (posh ehhh?) did the fish trail Ya know I enjoyed every minute of it. Took us longer than it should have because there are a few to many watering holes on the route Plus we had a full English about half way round. Great day though.
Oooh, ooh, an excuse for two old jokes. 85% of women think their arse is too fat. 10% of women think their arse is too thin, and 5% are really happy that they married him. Women are like modern computers. They won't take a 3 1/2" floppy.
Kempton If if it helps I died twice on the operating twice in Jan 2017 and I am still here, they even called in our village vicar for the family. My issue was a blocked bowel with blood clots and couldn’t stop the clotting. Anyhow after a week in a coma and a week in intensive care I pulled round. Doctors told me to cut out burgers, fish n chips all fatty food as well as alcohol and here I am 5 stone lighter admittedly more bad tempered as jobs you did without thinking now take a toll but enjoy life as best as possible. Now it appears I have myeloma too which is being treated with tablets at present, I am sat in Nice now watching the world go by enjoying life as I know it now. Ignoring the beer and wine by drinking water but still looking at some fine totty. Chin up and battle forward as our am amazing NHS do know what they are doing. Hope you get better anyhow.
****ing hell..... no wonder attendances are dropping!! You’re all in God’s waiting room lol... Am I the only healthy one?!!
