Would be a good signing for Hull - poor guy hasn't had a proper chance with Hammers. Seem to remember Reading and Ipswich were interested when he moved so would expect a few bids, would expect a price of at least 2 million. He's a good finisher, good movement, with an instinct for being in good places (at one stage last season Saints were linked hence my interest..!). If the rumours come true Heskey and Sam would be a great combination for you.

Are we expecting to see these two back at City now SB is here? I'd like to buy both as I think wages wouldn't be an issue.

So with the new gaffer at the helm who would you like to see coming into the club over the next few weeks? It's seems SB has a few players in mind and has possibly started negotiations prior to signing for us.

GK jaaskelainen is available on a free. He isn't one for the future though.

CB cover needed for hobbs. I think Paul sharner would add great experience and also cover in midfield if we needed it.

Wingers I think SB will wanna stick with Stewart. That means 2 needed. I'd like to see someone with a bit more experience like hunt (I'm not suggesting him) along with another young player to keep Cameron on his toes (Matt Phillips)

Up front I personally think Heskey up top with fryatt would smash most defences.

A goalkeeper for the future could be Mannone.

Cover for hobbs? Maybe gerrard or just stick with cooper.

A striker could be heskey but bare in mind owen is now on a free. Josh King could play there.

Wingers.
Brady,King or stick with Stewart.

Kilgallon? Never heard of him, is he any good?

Joking apart, Bruce didn't play him at Sunderland and he's back in the team since O'Neil arrived, so I don't see any chance.

Football league site saying a 3.5m bid has been made, by hull city. Sure there will be many mire rumors floating around, but is this guy any good? as I know nothing about him

Utter rubbish. No way would we pay anywhere near that much for him. I feel its no more than silly season rumour though at this time. imo.

He's good, but not 3.5m good and as said he would go for much less.

Nope. We could get for example Vito - Elden - Gerrard - Norwood - Josh King and re-sign Dawson for less than that amount. :emoticon-0103-cool:

All the same I'm starting to feel let down
Bruce has been in the job for a full 6 hours and he hasn't signed anyone yet. :emoticon-0116-evilg

17+ hours now and counting and still no new signings confirmed. Whats going on ? <whistle>

3.5M for Baldock <laugh>

and you thought we wasted money

If you willing to pay that for him you might aswell double it and go for Jordan Rhodes

You do and we wont. Its only a rumour especially the price. ;)

It's a rumour...

Indeed.

See what happens, you appoint a New Manager + silly season starts!

Sadly it goes with having a high profile manager. Get used to it now. It wont ends for weeks.

we will spend between 5 and 10 mill this summer .. hope you look fwd to holding onto your hats :) ...

I agree. I also think the big money will go on 2 new strikers. That may well be wages more than a transfer fee. PL here we come appears to be the message.

I think lil Sam would be a good signing, but around 1.5-2m. Don't think he has much of a future at WHU, big Sam seemed to lose faith in him.

I would not pay more than £1m for Baldock especially if they want rid of him.

Bruce should build the team around Koren, as for spending €3,5m on a player, I can't see it.. he's got to look at the Man U academy again as he hinted at in the press conference. Said he has a very good relationship still there. Bound to look at Sunderland benchers too I suppose..

I asked on the Sunderland board who we might get from them and this is a couple of the replies

Honestly, when he joined us he was never my choice.

I was always against him, however I would never abuse him.

They guy is a honest worker, and will try at the job. He did well for us, however he cannot control strong personalities and doesn't seem to be tactically aware. We have been crying out for a left winger for the last 3 seasons - he buys one and doesn't play him. Needless to see MON came in, played him and now hes at the Euros.

I think he will do well in the Championship, its his sort of level. I would only be worried about the formations he plays.

With regards to players he would buy from us...

Maybe Bramble, Turner, Meyler on loan, Wickham on loan? Unfortunately though I think Hull aren't good enough (in their eyes not mine) for some of our players.

i will start off by being honest, i wanted bruce out, i abused him by chanting at games/ i am not proud but i KNEW we needed him out of our club!
i hope and think he will do well at hull. sign bramble he will be outstanding in championship, meyler would be a good signing(a loan deal would be ideal), dong jong would also be an outstanding signing for hull, mccartney if w/hamdont want, try a sly loan for gardener or vaughen(i like them both and would &tell you to 4qoff but i aint the boss)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryan Noble, and he'll be a bloody good signing to.

GK - Vito Mannone
GK- Elen Jakupavic
CB- Anthony Gerrard
CM- Oliver Norwood
LM- Someone who's quick with a good cross
RM - Josh King
ST- Emile Heskey
ST - Ricardo Fuller

I'd love us to go for sone aluko from rangers, think his contract is up and it's not like rangers can offer him great terms
