As Im sure most of you know Bruce was appointed as our manager today. But which of the players that played under him would he be likely to try and sign for us if any
The obvious one would be Turner depending on who we bring in. Turner is doing OK but with O'Shea and Brown fit, a big if, he will be third choice at best. He could go for Bramble and don't be put of by him, he did well for us. Others he my try for but I cant see him getting them, Man U will be his first call for loan signings.
Unfortunately, unless we are going to write of millions in fees, or pay for wages to allow loans, none of our players will be heading to Hull anytime soon. The gulf between the championship and EPL in wages is astronomical. Good luck with Bruce btw. He will be fine in the championship but he aint no long term premiership manager though.
I think Bruce is a good manager just not top half of prem manager. At Brum he got them promoted and finished, 13/10/12 At Wigan 11th With us 13/10 He lost his way with us but will get you up and maybe keep you up.
TBH, I don't know which players he could have a crack at. MON will have his own ideas about who he wants to keep and who he wants to sell and Bruce can bid for any of the latter when they are available. The question is whether players will want to drop a division with the consequent cut in wages if they can still find a Prem team to take them on.
I was thinking more of your squad players that MON probably wont rate or youngsters that might come on loan or you dont think will cut it in the Prem
THey are all humouring you. We once played a 4-6-0 formation under Bruce. He is ****ing **** the fat Geordie bastard!!!
Honestly, when he joined us he was never my choice. I was always against him, however I would never abuse him. They guy is a honest worker, and will try at the job. He did well for us, however he cannot control strong personalities and doesn't seem to be tactically aware. We have been crying out for a left winger for the last 3 seasons - he buys one and doesn't play him. Needless to see MON came in, played him and now hes at the Euros. I think he will do well in the Championship, its his sort of level. I would only be worried about the formations he plays. With regards to players he would buy from us... Maybe Bramble, Turner, Meyler on loan, Wickham on loan? Unfortunately though I think Hull aren't good enough (in their eyes not mine) for some of our players.
i will start off by being honest, i wanted bruce out, i abused him by chanting at games/ i am not proud but i KNEW we needed him out of our club! i hope and think he will do well at hull. sign bramble he will be outstanding in championship, meyler would be a good signing(a loan deal would be ideal), dong jong would also be an outstanding signing for hull, mccartney if w/hamdont want, try a sly loan for gardener or vaughen(i like them both and would &tell you to 4qoff but i aint the boss)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How is the hull team atm can i ask.... if bruce did nothing can you make the playoffs???? If i was Bruce i whould be looking towards the players who whould want to drop down a division and do well for me... that is none of our starting 11 Michael Turner (might want to go back and play first team but i think a PL team might want him) Titus Bramble David Meyler (depends what MON thinks of him) Fraizer Campbell (if we sign strikers) Connor Wickham (on loan) Ji Dong-Won (on loan) might not be good enough for you as in he needs a season in league one... thats really the only players i can see you getting but Man U youngsters WILL be coing to you this season
Bramble and Killgallon would make a cracking partnership for Hull. Young Louis Laing in a loan or Ryan Noble. David Meyler could really do with a loan even a short one. Last but not least, we have a player who desperately needs a loan to the championship and Bruce rated him so much to spend 8m+ of our money on a certain Mr Connor Wickham
without trying to sound like outhers posting on this thread... bruce doesnt really know who Killgallon or Laing is
He will do a sterling job, and will look at Meyler, Bramble and maybe Whickham on loan, who will all do cracking jobs at that level. Turner we'd expect £4million plus for, Hull ain't got that for one player.
